I can't get this phone to work with a new Vodafone Sim. The old Sim works but I want to use my nano Sim with an adapter when I am in my car. Can any body help.

I have a special version of this phone. It was made for VW and has red illumination and that one of first li-ion batteries used on phones. Still works fine, even (original) battery in good condition. Bomb-proof quality that exists no more.

It's a good phone, still usable today. After nearly 20 years the battery is still functioning fine. Speciality: one button for all function (no separate red, green and menu button). Easy to use.

I still have this phone and so what? It's battery is very weak. It can last one day while doing nothing. But I'm keeping it just for it's oldness.

I bought this phone off eBay not too long ago for a couple of quid. The phone is in near-mint condition and works just fine out of the box, since mine came in it's original box with the charger and all manuals etc. The phone itself is very easy to use and does exactly what you would expect a phone to do-call and text! I have nothing against this phone and it's great for collectors like myself. Battery life could be better, but hey, this phone is 15 years old!

Hi, my wife has a 701. It runs
great!. Is it better than the N8?,
well it depends on what you
want to do with it. Gaming experience with the 701
is not better than the n8. In
heavy graphics game 701 has
poorer performance than the N8.
The GPU on board the N8 is
superior. N8 has HDMI, 701 has only VGA TV
Out. The camera on the 701 is as
good as any samsung or iphone.
Having said that... well the N8
camera is just stunning. No
comparison with any phone
except the 808 or maybe the 920. The flash on the N8 is
great, taking excelent night
pictures against the tipical blurry
that any other phone (including
the 701) takes. The video on the
N8 is better than compact cameras, and the video on the
701 is just average for a camera
phone. Finally N8 has 16Gb mass memory
against 8Gb onboard the 701. If
you like to carry a lot of music
and pictures (like I do), 16gb
mean something. Of course both
phones can use micro sd, but you always would have 8 more
gb with the n8. So, in what is better the 701
with it's 1.3ghz cpu? It runs multitasking better and
smoother than the n8. Apps like
email, facebook, the web
browser, and office run faster
on the 701. Also it has 512 Mb of
Ram instead of 256 that the N8 has. It means that apps like
Opera Mobile work way better
on the 701. The 701 sports a dual led flash
that is great deal of torch.
Really, really great and very
handy when needed. The N8 has
a red led, but is useless as a
torch. The screen on the 701 is slightly
more sensitive and a little bit
more bright. So if you are looking for great
pictures and more media options
then the N8 is for you. If you are
looking for a phone with more
office-like use, then the 701
could be a better choice. The best phone I've had so far. I have had this handset for the
last 20 months. Upgraded it from
Symbian^3 to Anna. A whole new
handset :D, and then to Belle,
again!, a whole new handset. No problems at all. I use it as my
primary camera (my camera has
been collecting dust since I
bought it), as a messenger with
whatsapp, and as an office tool
(emails and that kind of stuff). The most heavy works it carries
is to be my sports companion (I
run) with endomondo and the
music player. And surprisingly it's still snappy
when it comes to be used.
Asphalt 5/6 run just great, NFS
Speed shift is great and many
other games run smoothly. Plug
it to your TV and you'll have a great gaming experience. I use it even as a video player... I've not changed it because
there was no competitor,
neither from nokia or any other
brand. Until the 808 appeared
and now the lumia 920. So, I'm so happy with my phone
that I'll use it as my primary
phone till the day it stops
working properly. I also own an Android phone, and
used to have a Galaxy Tab 7"...
great app store, but that's
about its.
