to those who complains that the sound of this phone weak, please consider that the speaker is at the BACK. meaning, if the phone screen is facing you, the speaker at the back is blocked so understandably, weak sound is heard. also, the quickest way to access memory card is by using usb cable attached to your pc. coversion to m4a by the sound manager takes AGES so stick to the universal "mp3" or "wma", this way, you can easily with other phones. my +2 cents.
thanks dude. my brother is in boracay and ilo-ilo this week and he was worried about the restart. maybe next week, i will visit nokia care.
by the way, have you already changed your phone? i am now enjoying nokia 6267 for more than a month now. too bad that my 2gb memory card failed when i inserted it to nokia 3110c.
REHAN, 10 Jun 2008Where can i fing free java games for 3110. ringing volume is too lowIts really nice phone.long time i seek such phone.it cheap but every options present here
pravin, 09 Jun 2008Guys Dont Be Fooled By Postings Like restart problem is history.i am using 3110c w ver 6.01 n ... moreJust want to correct you.. 3500c still got the same 128x160 pixel display resolution which is also the same with the 3110c.. And about the features? I guess the only edge of 3500c over 3110c is the 2 megapixel camera and nothing more. So based on my comparison, the 3110c and 3500c photo quality is almost the same. In fact in some cases, the 3110c produces a bit sharper photos than the 3500c and that's just ironic for me considering that 3110c only got 1.3 megapixel camera while 3500c got 2 megapixel camera in which supposedly the 3500c is expected to excel because of the higher megapixel camera. And also, keypad ergonomics is better on the 3110c. 3500c's D-pad is a bit stiff and creates a rather awkward feel(much like the feeling when you have used the old Nokia 6600's joystick navigation solution) and that's just not great for a texter. So why spend some higher amount of money for that 3500c for a shorter battery life and questionable ergonomics? And now, don't get fooled by the 2 megapixel camera of 3500c. Because as STMicroelectronics(the one supplying the camera units/modules on Nokia phones) have confirmed, the 3500c employs the cheapest 2 megapixel camera module integrated in a phone in order to come up with a very affordable price.
So nothing special with the 2 megapixel camera of 3500c.
And also, as for me, restarting is a history. Well how can you describe my phone when it haven't restarted for 6 months already? :-D So that's why for me, restarting is already a thing from the past. I don't know albeit the experience of the other users though.
Ash, 14 May 2008Hey folks, back after several days of eye infection. @Rba - & the community Rba is ver... moreI have 3110c version 6.01 on my hand. This fone was so great 4 me and its works fine with 1gig microSD
fireball, 10 Jun 2008@rba and others, guys just want to ask how long will it take to upgrade software in nokia c... moreIt took them 2 hours before they returned my phone. But I'm not sure if it will also take you 2 hours at the Nokia Care Center in Festival Mall there in Alabang because I'm referring to the Nokia Care Center in SM City Cebu.
@REHAN u hav said that the ringtone volume is very low. But its a shocking comment. Coz if u set your ringing volume to max, than its loud enough comparing to other high end phones. I've used many phones in my life but this phone has the loudest ringing sound. I think u hav set a low sound tone. So stop commenting about the tone volume. Unless u are expecting a dolby digital sound from a mobile phone.lol
@rba and others,
guys just want to ask how long will it take to upgrade software in nokia care center? it is still 5.5 in the net and my phone (actually this is now ny brother's phone. mine is nokia 6267) is having restart problems now.
thanks! i'll try to visit one in festival mall alabang which is quite far from batangas.

hey all i have a question, i have just bought Nokia 3110c but when there is a call the incoming alert rings at a low volume for about 2 seconds then loud volume although i made the incoming calls (ringing) what can i do?
Thanks for helping..
Hey guys, I had the restarting prob. But I have updated my software to 6.01m now its working fine with 2 gb card.its better to use ur MMC 85%. Don't over load it. I have started lovin my phone
This phone is brilliant. I have a camera for pictures, so I don't care about the phone's camera 1.3 Megapixel feature, but everything else is great =]
Guys Dont Be Fooled By Postings Like restart problem is history.i am using 3110c w ver 6.01 n 2gb carb and if loaded with more than 1.2 gb of data the phone gets restarted.no hope of getting solved bcoz nokia hasnt released any updates then ver5.50 for the public in nokia care centre only newer phones has the updated ver which is neither foolproof. Better buy the 3500c which has lower battery life, higher price, higher resolution features.
rachid, 07 Jun 2008Man.Your so right.I had mine loaded at 273 titles with 7 folders and played so good.
I think ... moreHave you already converted your music files to m4a 48 kbps and copied those music files to your phone?? If yes, then as you can observe, the music files are resided under subfolders (Artist's name, Album Title) right?. I suggest that you move and reside those music files directly to a folder in your memory card that contains all of your music files and don't reside it inside the subfolders(e.g. Artist's name, Album Title). Because you know long before, i decided not to transfer the songs directly to the 'MUSIC' folder which i created inside my memory card but instead, i just allowed it to be inside the subfolders because i was thinking that it would be too much of a hassle to transfer it one by one. But in the process, i had observed that whenever i access the memory card files, it will take for about 40 seconds to 1 minute before the memory card could be accessed!! Just imagine that. Very frustrating. I have to wait that long just to access the files in my memory card. But sooner or later, i decided to transfer the music files directly to the music folder inside my memory card instead of letting it be placed under subfolders. After i did that, the 40 seconds to 1 minute lag when accessing the memory card was gone..
So before it's too late, i suggest you to do the same thing so that you will not experience the 40 seconds to 1 minute lag.
And btw.. I already got 292 songs. :D
And it's really an ever growing list.
