what is your software version?
try formatting the card through a PC... then again use the phone to format the card. Avoid corrupt files.
3110c is loud enough to be heard in a room. In my opinion, the built-in speaker is decent and produces good clear sound - I often enjoy listening to music from the speaker. I think it is better than a lot of phones.
i bought a 3110 classic on March this year, after a week i bought a 1 GB memory card. after a week or two again, my phone begun to shut down. i am not able to open and use it unless i remove the memory card. i visited the store where i bought my phone and they told me its my memory card having a problem so i went to the store where i bought the card. but when i get there and after some check ups on my phone with the card, they told me the phone is the one having a problem. it made me crazy!
Finaly I hawe hawe found the solution for restarting problem!
1.Format your memory card
2.Make shortcut on your mobile so u can access very fast to your media player
2.1. In SETTINGS/DISPLAY/ACTIVE STANDBY/ACTIVE STANDBY MODE (TURN ON)/PERSONALIZE VIEW (MAKE IT THAT SHORTCUT BAR IS THE ONLY ONE THERE)
2.2. In SETTINGS/MY SHORTSUTS/NAVIGATION KEY make it so that standby key is 2nd
2.3. Get back to main screen and press DOWN key, options, select, select media player, and save, in organise shortcuts make it 1st and save your progress
3.Upload up to 5 songs
4. Update your media player, mobile will restart him self! BUT!!!...
5. In order to stop restarting u have 3 sec to start updating music library again
6. If u done all at step 2, u need to press fast one time down, central button, left blue line, down, central,up, and central (Need to be pressed in 3 seconds)
7. If u success in this 6th step u hawe solwed problem!
8. Next step is to upload next 5 songs and repeat steps 4-6
(9.) If you cant press so fast buttons to restart uploading I suggest to create a folder named "Amp3" so he can be first when u access to your memoru card so you could
erase him fast to stop restarting, instead formating whole card (In SETTINGS/MY SHORTSUTS/LEFT SELECTION KEY(Make it Gallery, so you can access fast to memory card to delete folder "Amp3"))
(10.)Buttons to erase "Amp3" folder - While in main screen press : Left blue line, center, left blue line, down, center, center (Need to be pressed in 3 seconds)
(11.)You hawe stopped restarting and kept pics, and images on memory card
If this work at your phone just tell me because I would like to know did i helped :D
plz tel me about nokia's 3110 loudness.mean to say is it speaker is enough to listen and enjoy songs?
Two options to have the settings:
1. Call your network/service provider and request for the proper configuration settings for your phone.
2. Visit the official Nokia website and click the "GET SUPPORT AND SOFTWARE" bar. Then, select Nokia 3110 Classic from the "PHONES AND DEVICES" drop down menu. Then, click the "GET SETTINGS" link at the near bottom of the page... Just follow the easy steps ahead of it to have the settings.
But I still recommend calling your service provider (the 1st option) because the settings are united and falls only under one name and another thing is that, it is most of the time errorless.
i bought this phone a week ago and i think this is the best phone at this range.it has all the features required nowdays.earlier i was of the view that this phone slows down after putting 1gb card but to my surprise it runs very fast thereafter.sound quality is good, camera quality is also good the only drawback is that this phone does not support all the vodeo formats.i suggest all those who want to buy -go for it,its value for money phone.
pls i need to know how to increase the sound quality of this phone mine is not loud compared to other phones around.
Simply smart handset with all features within d range, but often it restarts while using packet data. Otherwise its simply d best.........
the phone is pretty good, portable and a nice companion.lol,my own version is v05.50 and when compared with a friend with v04, the sound quality of the v04 was higher and even when i used the enhasement my v05 was lower. Please what do i do to increase the sound quality because it's fast becoming my priority.do i need to change to v04 or upgrade to v06?
High bitrate MP3 is no use in this phone. Mobile optimized M4a is the best choice for phones that play M4a format. This not only saves space on the phone (you can put more music in the same amount of space), but it is also easier on the phone's limited processing power. Hi-bit rates are only good if you have a hi-fidelity speaker system.
Follow up question: this phone has an EDGE right? does it mean i can automatically achieve 3x speed than a gprs connection? or do i have to apply some settings or contact my network provider?
answer: 3 things to consider
1. network provider is edge capable
2. there is an edge signal
3. appropriate settings have been downloaded in the phone (network setting)
signal strength affects data speed.
To the guy below:
I don't know. As for me, i really find it the same.. Just use the Nokia Music Manager to convert it to m4a 48 kbps bitrate. Try it for yourself to judge.
Thanks. : )
Wow! is that true? mp3 128kbps bitrate has the same sound quality as m4a 48kbps? i usually use 196 kbps mp3 songs on my phone because i feel satisfied when the bitrate is higher because you can really hear individual beats. do you think i can achieve that same quality if i convert my 196kbps mp3 songs into a 48kbps m4a format?
Strangely enough that you are advising everyone not to load more than 50 songs...
Just want to state once again that i already have 273 songs and still no problems encountered.
In my own opinion, you can load more and more songs as much as you want but just exercise extra caution when loading the music files and make sure that none of them are corrupted. And I guess it's more advisable if you encode/convert your mp3's to m4a 48 kbps mobile optimized format using Nokia Music Manager. Because i have read from a certain website that there are some phones that doesn't support high bitrate mp3's. I don't know if that's true or not or if it is really applicable to the 3110c or not. So it made me decide to convert all my mp3's to m4a 48 kbps. Afterall, nothing less will be lost if you try. Plus, you even get the benefits of lower memory consumption to conserve memory. In all honesty, i really haven't seen any difference with regards to the sound quality and sound depth between the mp3 with 128 kbps bitrate and m4a with 48 kbps bitrate when converted using the Nokia Music Manager. Because the fact that I made a comparison with the two formats with the same song made me realize that there is no difference at all.
That is just my observation take note..
Because I do believe that everyone have their own rights to be a critic of their own. :)
