@ Trailer1:
It's sad to hear that your phone is still isn't okay. But anyway, try the suggestion of Ash first. And if the problem still persists after you have tried it, try going to Nokia Care again and tell them that the "NO SERVICE" and the "SIM Card Registration Failed" problem that you got is intermittent. And when your phone again would operate normally when you take it to Nokia Care, then tell them that it is just today that it operated normally. And after you do so, they would take your phone for repair and most probably, your phone will be in the "Observatory" status and a Nokia Care technician would use your handset for about a week to put your handset to a test and observe if a problem is going on. And they will just return it preferably on the following week I guess. And actually, if you can just afford to live 2 weeks without your 3110c in your own hands, then do it. Because I guess this would be the only option that stands as your last chance for your phone to operate normally. Good luck..
@Trailer1,
Well, I guess you have every right to get pissed off with Nokia Care. With your "No Service" & "SIM Card Registration Failed" problem... the only thing I can suggest is - well it may sound silly but.... Get a new SIM card (It may be possible to get a new one with the same number), some SIM cards have problems... Get the new sim ... Restore Factory Settings ... Restart the phone and see. Good Luck
it is a very beautiful phone .my advice to you guys use the phone gently and the phone will treat you gently
@Sonny,
3110c is not a Symbian phone. It is a Series 40 phone and will not support PDF and Office Documents etc. - however, S40 is catching up fast and there are many applications and games made for S40. My honest verdict for this phone... "A cool phone with many options, FM radio, memory card, good music."
Please help people. I am already pissed off by this problem. Nokia Care couldn't even help me.
One more thing RBa and the others, i have already brought my phone to a Nokia Care Center. But what they simply did is reinstall the 06.01 which didn't help. Please advice anyone. And another thing is that, everytime i will prove to Nokia Care that i got the "NO SERVICE" and "SIM Card Registration Failed" problem, my phone would eventually behave normally and would absorb network signal. Get it? It is on and off. It's like a disease. Please help all of the people here.
@ ash
... well thnx 4 d reply ...
one more thing is this fone a symbian?
@Sonny,
Yes I suppose you could buy 256 pr 128 mb too. It could be lighter on the phone processor and memory... but just the same you'll have to be careful about the files and folders and avoid putting anything that conflicts with the system.
RBa:
Mine is still acting like hell! Maybe you are just too lucky that yours was gone after 5 days of suffering but mine is more than a week already! It is still annoying me of suddenly going back to the home screen and all of those strange stuffs. Please help kid.
i need to know how to load music onto my 3110 classic...i've downloaded PC Suite but still can't figure it ou, the program is saying theres no space on my phone..but theres nothing on it!! its brand new...please help!!
To the nameless person in the 2nd page (wHr%) :
To activate MMS, you need to have first the proper configuration settings from your service provider. Ask your service provider for the procedures.
@ Wah_Nokia:
3110c is only capable of receiving picture messages and sadly, you can't forward those via SMS.
To all people asking for the firmware version 06.01, you can only have it on the Nokia Care Centers.
Anyone who can explain if abusing the flight mode is the cause of that "SIM Card Registration failed" problem? I am scared actually that one day, it will happen again to my phone.
@ Trailer1:
Actually i have also suffered with the "SIM Card Registration Failed" problem and so with the other error messages EXACTLY as what you have mentioned. And there seemed to be something in common with the way we use our phone.. You have mentioned that you are using the Flight Mode every night right? Well, i am also doing the same way as you do.. Well, fortunate for me is that, my phone is doing well now and all of those problems have just gone away like miracles. And honestly, i am suspecting now that using the flight mode daily is the one that's creating problems. What do you think?. Sorry if i can't give you a remedy on that problem since mine have just gone away after 5 days of suffering. And i am hoping that your phone is okay now.
