Nice phone, but i have a problem with setting up my network mode.On UMTS mode,i get a very weak or no sim signal,on GSM mode i cannot browse.what do i do.please help.
heh sorry to confuse you, the 6120 Classic and 6121 Classic is the exact same phone (there is a minor difference but I dont remember what it is, search the 6120 thread)
Slyde, no worries good choice! maybe you have other nokia's available to you, over here in NZ, is limited choice, like my 6233 that can't be purchased here, I brought it second-hand (3 years ago). another cool thing about 6121c is you can adjust the brightness of the screen. read the full review on gsmarena for more info.
Ashman, the card was jam-tight in the slot that I was scratching the surface of the paint off the memorycard (from slipping). seriously, thats why I used the pin to get it out, by nudging it on the side, then getting grip on my fingernail to slide it out. what you mean you don't need to remove it? the idea being is you copy stuff from your computer and use it on your phone. pics/clips/tunes etc
Comment about 3120c (don't remember who commented ... it was on the net)
"3120 is not a Symbian ... nor a Java ... It is something else and serves most of the purpose"
I thought this was a great compliment to the phone. While I have managed to open PDF files and even text files, it does not support a proper Acrobat or an Office software. It is a great phone that does so much more than what it costs.
I just wish... the internal buffer - cache memory was bigger for opening bigger applications and files. and the build quality of the phone housing was stronger. Rest is far more than bargained for... enjoy!
It is true that the memory card is hidden inside the cover towards the side and a bit cumbersome to take out. But I take that as an advantage as it is not easily accessible and also protects the phone and the mem card from unnecessary dust, damage and chances of loosing the card.
How many times do you have to take a card out anyway? I have never had to take mine out yet. So no problem for me.
Bought it 2 days ago. A real value & feature packed phone. Recommended.
nokiaberry, 08 Sep 2009hey many thanks for replying. I decided to exchange the phone for the Nokia 6120. I really did... morei was about to buy that n3120 classic but after reading about your post, i think i'll buy the nokia 6120 classic it will be my second symbian since i've lost my nokia 6600 to a snatcher way back in 2005 here in alabang, Ph. there's one thing i'm not so sure about, sms font coz its symbian unlike the S40.but hey, it is smarter ofcourse than n3120c. good day.
I have this phone since three months ago ,I"m happy with it, but I would really want to know the way to see all or even just one of the sms that I send.
hey many thanks for replying. I decided to exchange the phone for the Nokia 6120. I really did want to keep the 3120 but after a couple quirks, I just couldn't bare to keep it longer. Removing the memstick was a hassle, had to use a pin to yank the thing out. Back cover is too flimsy, would snap eventually. Menu's and fonts too big (even at small size).
aside from those things, the phone has a cool interface, really similar to the nokia 6233. Which is still the best phone to this day. (If you not looking for symbian/extra features ofcourse)
anyways I recommend the skin "ninja star" by t2_dennis, google it. anyone know how to extract/save the image from an s40 theme?..
nokiaberry, 07 Sep 2009is there any possible way to make the menu's and message text smaller?? (the display - font si... moreYou cannot change the menu font size, even you create your own s40 theme. Except you can reinstall edited/hacked version of the firmware. Note:this will void your warranty.
For (text) message, it available from display setting.
mskgnt, 07 Sep 2009How to upload music files to Nokia 3120 classic.if anyone can answer the question, it would be... moreIf you have micro sd, transfer your mp3 to the micro sd through card reader. You can move the file to phone memory later through your phone. This way is faster than using bluetooth or PC Suite.
