Nokia announced the Nokia 3128, its latest mid-range mobile phone with a fold-design. The Nokia 3128 broadens Nokia's portfolio of mobile phones aimed at Chinese consumers and is expected to be available in the Chinese market in January 2005. However, due to phone's compatibility with most of the European GSM operators' networks, Nokia 3128 could be locally imported, just like in the case with Nokia 6108.

The lightweight Nokia 3128 phone offers a compact fold design, supports a 65K color mirror display (128x128 pixel resolution) and a 4K color mini display (96x65 pixel resolution), large user memory for SMS and MMS storage, two way English-Chinese-English dictionary and entertaining games. It is also preloaded with contents including specially designed, Chinese-style wallpaper, animations, themes and lunar calendar to cater to the preference of Chinese users.

Weighing only 80 grams, the Nokia 3128 has a talk time of up to 4 hours and a standby time of up to 200 hours. The available colors for the standard sales packages will be matt blue, sandy copper, and golden red.
