One can say -- "i don't like this phone because of the auto-lock option" or "i don't like this phone because the messeges are saved in phone memory". So, for those people i have only one response: "why the hell you got this phone with an OS if you don't use it"; excepting the dust problem and the mono sound you can personalize your phone the way you like it because of the OS. That's way i don't like comparissons between different classes of phones.
i've seen here many comparisons between 3230 and 6230i. well, there's no need to compare this 2 phones because of the flexibility of an OS ...
So, what can you tell to a 6230i user? "can you open word documents on your phone? 'cause mine does it.' - but that response it would be a stupid one - because the phones were made for people with diferent needs. Others don't use their phones for programs because they have laptops, some of them don't use the phone for listening mp3's (so, why don't you buy an mp3 player if you like so much listening mp3's).
Me - i have my own regrets regarding this phone - but let be realistic - there won't be on the market a perfect phone - a phone to satisfy the necesities for all the people.
So, there is a quate that says :"if you can have what you want, at least be pleased with what you own."

The phone sucked big time, but once you replace the software, the phone really rocks!!

The bad part is nokia charges you 600(indian) to replace their faulty software,I think they call back all 3230s and upload the new software for free....

If anyone gonna buy 3230 Please think once again!! Go for 6630 which is far better. 3230 has mono sound. The diffrence between mono and stereo is like color TV and B/W TV.

If u have any question about 3230, u r most welcome!!

This is the worst phone produced by NOKIA in its history.
Slow,Hnagingup, deleting all phone memory once hang up, starts automatically switching off, very hard to write sms at once.
Can anyone tell me the procedure of restoring phone memory contacts if lost due the phone hangup. Also to re-start if get hanged up,
Request to NOKIA to replace these with improved version if company developed so.
                    SK..

this phone can't play most of the ngage games as it does not have internal memory..ngage games needs at least minimum of 10- 12mb of internal memory..nokia 3230 only has 6mb..but after all those essential files..only left 3 -4mb free..

I am a Nokia user from past 10 years. I have been new model of nokia, Nokai 3230 from past 6 months . Till today, in my life, no other phone has made me this sick. Name the problem, this phone has the problem, poor infrared sensing, picks up cross connections, very slow, automatically restarts in the middle if you are typing a message, this phone is useless!! This kind of phone was not expected from NOKIA atleast.

What! I dont see the use of the phone. First I thought it was much better than 6260 but it's even more messed up than I imagined. The phone goes off anyhow especially when you load it with some java applications or well you are on multi-tasking. I JUST HOPE THE 3250 IS MUCH BETTER.
