I have to re-install back some of my apps and ALL my games even thou I have it stored on my memory card. :( Only a few apps need not be re-installed. Too bad on that, but my MP3 player is fine.. sound is better than before but still not as good as the stereo radio. I'm from S'pore.

I upgraded my v4 firmware at Suntec Nokia care centre in Singapore. They are now officially available at all nokia care centres.

Hmm, i got to backup lots of stuff if it's available (the new firmware).... damn does it mean I have to install back all my 20+application and 80+games after upgrade.... i hope those software inside the phone memory card doesn't have to be re-install back.

3230 uses RSMMC. it doesnt use MMC. it doesnt matter whether the RSMMC is dual voltage or not, unlike 6630/6680 where the card HAS to be dual voltage.

Hi ALL!
Just recently upgraded my 3230 at nokia care centre with firmware:
V4.0526.2ch 16-08-05 RM-51
(NOT the unstable V4.0526.0ch version)
The bug in SMS not vibrating in silent mode have been fixed. The annoying beep before ringing and messaging have also been work around(the beeping sound was reduced to a very faint level). I have reinstalled back my 15 over apps & games, so far with no problem in app hanging or auto shut off syptoms. Bluetooth now works better and does not hang anymore after continuous use for more than 24hrs, that I used to encounter before.
Try the upgrade! & enjoy yr phone to it's maximum before it gets obsolete (this model is 10 months old already!)

ain, i think this is hapening bcs internal memory of mobile is 6MB. files that have to go go another device,have to pass to internal menory,whish is not always empty,so u have free less than 6MB...

I have SE k700i and when I put the mp3 player to play sound(mp3/128kbps) on speaker sound volume is very low. Is sound volume at 3230 more good than to SE k700i?

i just bought a bigger memory card(256) but when i try to bluetooth a song to a fren it said that my phone doesnt have enough memory to continue the application....why is that??can anyone help me????

In my opinion,this phone is not bad, but the mp3 sound of the 3230 phone which i had used is really horrible and unacceptable,it is unclear and has noise.at least thats the case for my handset and thats a fact. of course some people would say that for its low price as a smartphone we shouldnt expect too much, but is expecting a decently average mono sound quality considered too much? the pt is they should try to produce the mp3 with acceptable quality even though it may be mono.however if u use it to listen to radio thats a different case i think the radio sound is not bad.the mp3 may be acceptable when used as a ringtone, but definitely not for listening as a mp3 player.
i still suggest those who wish to buy the phone, bring your rsmmc card with your mp3 songs inside and test the phone with your mp3 songs at the shop to hear the quality for yourself.

Hey rezec, thanx man. Thanx 4 ur kind advice. But, I'm still unable to enjoy full screen. I downloaded Philips camcoder pro from mobango. After installing that software for 10-15 minutes, I can watch clips with camcoder full screen.
Afterwards, after some hours whenever I'm opening those files... by default they opening with real player. !!!! What's this ?? Is there is no way to delete or disable real player ?? Suggested some more remedy ~~!

This phone catches dust easily, right inside the screen, can we remove the casing, and clean it ourselves?

What is the code used for reformatting 3230?
Because, i have learned that you can soft-reformat your phone just by keying a code.

I got Nokia 3230. For those who are planing to buy this phone, if you are after a loud speaker volume, please do not get this phone. When I'm in a noisy room, I can hardly hear my phone rings. I think Nokia 6630, 6680 or 6681 is better.

khaleeda, u can always get any programs u wish for 3230 as it is a symbian set which u can install programs that u need,want into it.
