I have no memory problems.(I have over 4M free mem). I managed to transfer mp3/pics but I can't transfer(infrared) any files from the 3230 to the Alcatel.
When I go to the directory on the 3230 (in the file management app) I press option and there is no Send->Infrared as the manual says. The Send->Infrared option is avalable only to pics and audio files. I was wondering if there is a setting on the 3230 that can allow me to transfer any kind of files from it.

HIi...m very disappointed by NOKIA where as i was a big fan of nokia but not now anymor coz sum months before i bought nokia 3230 ..and the set was too gud as well as features but there was alot of hanging problems ...and the most terrible thing is that when v tranfser anyfile through bluetooth it saved in phone memoryy which is not enough and for using memory card i have to buy a CARD READER otherwise i couldn't able to use phone memoryy or transfering file in it ...

i use to transfer mini files lyk photos but not songs and vidoes coz when v transfer any file through bluetooth or ifra ..it saved in phone memory which is not enough ..and during transfering an error occured ...MEMORY IZ LOW !!! so u have to buy card reader for transfering files in ur phone memory ..

Hy! I've been trying to transfer .jar files from my 3230 to another phone over the infrared. If anyone succeded in doing this , can you pls tell me how ?

hi,
I need some advice from those who already own this phone. I mostly am plannining to buy 3230 because symbian allows installation of 3rd party software. But I've heard that most 3rd party software cause problems in this phone and cause it to crash. Is this true? For those of you using the phone can you kindly list softwares you've had problems with. I'm sure this will help other forum readers also. Most of the software i plan on using are ones downloaded from sites like www.dotsis.com which is frequently mentioned on this forum.

the problem wont be solved ever. it's some kinda hardware failures. there's no more qc on nokia products. i've used this N3230 for 3 months and now traded in for a K750i, my problem is solved. that's the only solution if you wanna be satisfied. and that's what i called quality control.

Yah.... Me too have problems with the phone freezing. Sometimes it just hang when the phone rings. and i have to switch off the phone. sigh.... pls someone help me
