video streaming is done directly done fom a website which is normally a rstp:// site and not http:// ; if its possible try to get the streaming rstp address from ur network provider and manually type tat address in realplayer ; it has to work if gprs is enabled

Just came back from a Digi EDGE promotion. Those people said currently my the 3230 cannot stream the live tv is actually a firmware problem rather than the phone limitation. They say have to wait for Nokia to come out with a new firmware so that it will be compatible with their streaming.... what a pity.

Just to clarify something. I said earlier my phone network put a statement 6630 can only do video on demand streaming just like 3230 becoz currently they are only providing EDGE and not 3G. But then again it's weird also coz from the web info 6630 can do up to 236kb EDGE max just like 6230i. I wonder why the phone network still put 6630 like 3230 and some other phone.... think I better take a visit to the customer service centre and get things clear up.

im watching big bro on my 6630 but it 75p a minute. you use a shortcode number and press video call button and its there at same time exactly as on tele (channel4) but this fone"3230" will come up not enough bandwidth you need the 3g speed thats why i got 6630. This fone and 7610 could not play vids for more than 50 secs without stopping and buffering then play for 15 secs then buffer again and as you know it blocky, glad had chance within 14 days to realise and took this fone back to swap for 6630

Actually, this phone still can do the video on demand streaming. In fact I could access 1 out of the 3 life traffic cameras. The other 2 i can't access coz it says not enough bandwidth. I can watch some mtv clips and movie trailers. But of course it's the typical 3gp quality....lots of boxes when the image is moving fast. Just like the one u taken with the built-in video cam.

I think the reason I can't stream some of the live one is becoz they r using a bandwidth that is higher that 177kb. O well, when i got time may be I'll drop by Digi and give opinion see if they could provide a lower bandwidth version connection for slower EDGE phone.

Sorry I never try usb before. But after u install PC suite and also when u connect ur phone, won't u see a 3230 icon comes out when u go to the Nokia Phone Browser at My Computer? By right U don't need the PC Suite programs actually. U should be able to access the memory card direct. Well, at least this is so when using bluetooth.

I went to NCC today. It was confirmed that it is indeed a dead pixel and not dust. The people at NCC told me that the LCD will be replaced by 2nd week of July as they have shortage of LCD's.

EDGE is only a faster version of GPRS. But even for EDGE I think there's a few different level. Recently found out that 3230's EDGE doesn't reach the 200+kbps. I think I saw at Nokia website stating up to about 177kb.... the info given here (gsmarena) not correct i think..?? Whereby 6230i can reach up to 236kb (provided the network can support)

Anyway, just share with u guys what happen to me recently. My phone network (Digi) has this add-on call MobileTV. I recently subscribe to it thinking that I can watch the one and only tv channel that they r offering. To my disappointment I can't access it. Always says not enough bandwidth. Did a check on the FAQ and they stated that certain model which of course include 3230 (and 6630!!) can only do video-on-demand and not live streaming due to phone limitation. Well I wanted to unsubscribe but they kept asking me go try setting at the shop. But I don't have high hope.

So, the only advantage for EDGE is u get to surf faster. For me, charges is the same coz they charge per 10kb data transferred.

Where r u from anyway? I'm from Sabah. Things normally cost more here. If u r in KL then the best place is somewhere called Lowyat right? There're so many bluetooth usb adapter around. Price ranging from RM80~RM150 in KK Sabah. I would go for more well-known brand for after sale support. Better if the product got web support. But really up to u.

If they are really dead pixels, then u can do nothing except go back and try to ask for exchange coz it is a hardware problem. Hard format will not change anything. However, just curious, are u sure they are dead pixels and not dust? Pls double check and don't let the dust full u.
