I wish to address to those who keep asking which phone better than which, hey this is suppose to be 3230 user review and opinion section. If u guys got question about 3230 probably a lot of us can share our opinions.
But to compare 3230 with other new phones, I think better u guys ask in the forum section.
Now, I would like to share a few cool softwares for ur 3230.
Resco Photo Viewer 4.30.3:
Nice program that can resize image, crop your image, change brightness & contrast, change colour (gamma, red, green, blue) beside being an image viewer. It can do fullscreen slide show as well.
SmartCom & FSCaller:
Both are software to display full screen (well more suitable to say bigger size) image/pic when u call some1 or receive call from some1. In my opinion SmartCom pic quality is better but FSCaller is more configurable.

To all the ppl complaining about the music quality...please keep in mind the quality of ur music..wadeva music you are trying to put into ur phone try to makesure its 192 kps and more for headset 256 and above for just the speakers..thts why i dun complain about this phone...nothins comes easily..dun expect everythin to come easily..make remedies..Thx

I have posted a few times before..I just wanted to say that I hate it when people read our HONEST opinion only for them to criticise the phone that I love.Look the phone is great!..realli..1.2 mp camera..smartphone..good screen..good colors..tell me in your entire life ,have you really found a phone so perfect to anyone..there are minor hiccups with the 3230..tht is the dust..and teh camera software..which are fixable..just wanted everyone to know tht i dun haf the the dust problem so it means the person who is taking care of the phone..so ppl...dun criticise..get the information and make your decision..

finally i have bought this phone last week. satisfy with the picture quality.tried the night mode and it was great. Tho had problem with the dust inside...the beep doen't bother me. the mp3 sound quality is not that really good but never mind.The black colour look sophisticated.overall i like this phone, worth the price

hey pp.....until this time, i didn't get any trouble especially with dust to my phone....just the beep sound before the tones....other thing are really cool friends....but i think you may be does not like the sound....

the dust problem also made me step behind to buy this phone.

I just read all that complaints about dust n beep before ringing tone and I am having second thoughts about buying it.Can anyone tell me which phone to get with all the features as 3230 and the same price range plse. I appreciate a reply asap. Thanks for help.

somebody please help me....i buy this phone last week but here i had one problem.....when i got incoming calls and messages, a "beep" sound will came out before the tones....if someone out there know how to sove this problem,please email me....please

Hey guy . Nokia 3230 is really good do naot expect the phone will cook ,wash you clothes or serve drinks. You can play movies with good quality using Smart Movie player . One problem that bothers me is a beep before receiving phone calls.
I know many times people use to write about that .If some one resolved that problem please let me know . If that is a problem with firmware give me right version it will resolve that problem and link I can downlod it.
Buy the way if anybody has problem with dust try to open cover ( I can tell you how to do that) and using special tissue . After opening cover you can find out how to improve that issue.Good luck. Thanks

please help me in color choosing ! i havent seen the red. black is just ok! but i m scared of red mite be considered as the girl color . BTW is dust a big menace?

You can not use an MMC card in a phone which is designed to use RS-MMC but you can use RS-MMC card in a phone that is designed to use MMC.
RS means Reduced Size. The RS-MMC is about half the size of MMC and normally it is sold with an adaptor so that the card and be placed inside an MMC phone. However, it does not mean 6230 can support the programs inside the RS-MMC that is taken from a 60 series phone like 6600, 6670, 7610, 6630, 3230 and so on, since it's not symbian phone. Probably can only be used as storage for files, midi files, MP3s etc.

hey ive just bought this phone and have never had anything with so many different extras. everyone is saying how u can use it as an mp3 player, do you have to pay for downloads or can i use what i have on my comp? then how do i actually get them on my phone? prob seems stupid question to ask to most of you but ive got no idea....!! thanks...help to crazieblondie@hotmail.com

Im just double checking that you can use the same type of mmc card that you use in a 6230 as in this phone?
im getting confused with the whole mmc and rs mmc

Today had the chance to play with a friend's 6230i. The screen image is simply superb although it is small compare to the 60 series phone, due to the higher 208x208 resolution. The sound is also simply louder and higher fidelity/quality. I tried playing a same sound file and the sound coming out from my 3230 (set at max volume) is not even match 6230i sound set at half the volume. What a pity. The only drawback for 6230i is it's not a symbian phone and can't run symbian software. But I think it would be a cool phone for people who just want a decent phone with nice sound.
Oh, the camera is cool also. I tried taking a photo with both phone at the same time and it took less than half the time for 6230i to save the photo than the 3230. Now I start to wonder why 3230 have to take so long just to save a 1.2Meg pixel photo.
Well, I wonder why, just can't understand... my heart is still with 3230.....

Is that so? Well I wonder what is the main reason as to why 512mb will result in more reboot. I still feel that it's more an OS-software problem than hardware problem. BTW, my phone reboot a lot as well when I'm using the bundled 32mb DV-RS-MMC before I get my 512mb. Anyway, 256mb is really not enough for me he3, I only have about 160mb+ left for my 512mb RS-MMC. I can live with the current "reboot" rate. Thx for ur info anyway.
Anybody out there also using 512mb RS-MMC like me? Any problem so far? How about u all who is still using 32mb or 64mb? In what situation ur phone is more prone to reboot?

I'm not an expert but the Nokia service guy told me is better not to use 512MB as it may cause some problem...hang, auot-reboot..etc.

Didn't u read all the previous post? Everybody having 3230 is complaining about the dust. It's only a matter of time and how much dust.

I've been using a 512mb non DV-RS-MMC (ie normal RS-MMC) for quite a while now. So far it's ok. Some people say the phone is design to use up to 256mb and anything over that will be unstable... not sure how true. I do experience reboot when running some software sometimes but I think it's more a software-OS problem than due to memory size. Any expert out there can comment?

i have that phone after buying that phone i m in a great trouble with sound coz loud speaker is not functioning at all and the warrenty of my company is saying we only repair that problem we'll change the set in any case. So plz when u r buying that set check the sound first before U pay the pricce.
