i just bought 3230 in indonesia.
my frustration is: the camera has defect in the picture pickup element. when you shoot photo in total darkness in high quality mode, then transfer the photo to pc. you can see some white pixel in the photo. i have tried 4 new nokia 3230. they all have this defect. this defect is vary, from little to annoying. i ask nokia service centre. they said this defect is ok. is it true? please inform me if any defect like this at any other country?
fm radio is stereo with headset. little bass sound and more trebel sound with headset.
other audio file (mp3,wav) played in mono only.

Altogether there are around 15 viruses reported on symbian ... no other phone OS is known to have any virus built for it ...Is symbian a sane choice

I Am not satisfied with the phone as before this i was having a 7610 comparing both it seems the zoom in 3230 is less and the camera being 1.2 MP pictures are not clear after the zoom.Its mono Ringtone is another drawback and the keypad.Infact The Phone is good at its class but not satisfying

I've got the stuff I need. Now waiting for the phone out in the market. I think about RM 1500 - RM 1700. N6230i kinda good, but price wise, I think I'll go for the N3230.
Another thing I would like to ask is that can I send files via bluetooth / IR to ther phones like SE and O2. Cuz I face a problem with Xphone II which has bluetooth function, BUT can't send a single file out to any phones. I jz wanna know if the same problem happens to this phone or not. Pls help. :)

sanjay : sorry man .... the 6230i is not going to be the phone of the year cuz it lacks
1- symbian os
2- the big screen....
and i will never give symbian os just to listen to mp3 in stereo !!!! thats stupid!

MrSuNNy : yes my friend u can almost use all the ringtones types in the market except the mmf for samsung i think.... u can use midi/wav/mp3/amr ....... and yes u can assign tones to a person or caller group and u can have a picture for each caller also !
if u doint care about the mp3player that much this is the perfect phone. great camera/radio/options/os and it is almost have everything

Hie guyz,
I just wanna enquire some settings for the ringing tones. Besides using the default tones, can I put other format like midi, wav, and mp3 as ringing tones ??
And can I set "Assigned tones" to each person or the N3230 using caller ID ?
Cuz I'm gonna put some mp3 in it and I wanna set them as ring tones. Pls help me out :)
