Hi Destineer

The phone comes with usb pop port but the cable doesn’t comes with the pack you will have to buy a separately. It will support two models of usb cable (DKU-2 and CA-70) I bought a Duplicate DKU-2 cable (Rs 120) and it works fine with PC Suite 6.8.1 I am getting a much better data transfer speed than Bluetooth (42KBpps) B=Bytes

Here's an abstract I got from dotsis which shows how to transfer sms from phone to MMC so that u can continue to have ur old sms. It's kind of complex so be careful and make sure u follow correctly.

=======================
OK here's how :
1. Install MsvDriveE.sis
2. It will change your SMS folder to MMC. If not, restart phone.
3. Now, the mail.db (or .dbx) is unlocked! Use a file manager and copy 'C:\System\Mail' folder onto MMC (somewhere, NOT E:\System\Mail !)
4. Turn off phone and remove MMC. Power on phone without MMC. Open 'Messages' once, it will turn SMS setting back on phone. Then turn off phone again.
5. If you have a card reader, delete folder 'System\Mail' on MMC. Then move the copied 'Mail' folder into 'System' folder. For example I copied the 'Mail' folder into 'Others' ... Now if you done this, skip to no. 7
6. If you don't have a card reader, reinsert MMC now, power on phone. Use a file manager, go to E:\System. Delete the 'Mail' folder. Move the copied 'Mail' (the other real one which we wanted to use) into E:\System. Hopefully you will suceed, as long as the phone has just restarted and you havent' opened 'messages' application or send/receive any messages. Be quick, though.
7. Reinsert MMC into phone and power on. Use filemanager, navigate to C:\System\Apps\MsvDriveE and click on MsvDriveE.app. It will reconfigure to use MMC for messages again.

Save your SMS messages to Memory Card

I googled for hours and finally was able to find and download the really small (TWO kilobytes!!) thingy, and install it on my 6260.

IT WORKS!!!!

Here is what you need to do:

Download the MsgdriveE.zip from dotsis website

Unzip the file, you will find "MSdriveE.sis". Put this on your 6260 by means of bluetooth, IrDA or directly to MMC via MMC reader device. DO NOT INSTALL JUST YET!

Make sure the file is on MMC! Do not keep it in messages inbox, move it from there using a file manager like fExplorer (freeware, google it).

Take a note of your message centre number (messaging - options - settings - text message - message centre in use) because it will be needed.

THEN install the small application from drive e, using the file manager software. Install it to MMC only!

Afterwards, in menu you will find a new application, "MSdriveE". Run it ONCE (!!!), it will seemingly do nothing and just exit after about 30 seconds. BUT........

NOW YOUR MESSAGES ARE SET TO MMC USE!!!!!! As the MMC card icon on top, when inside the "Messaging" menu, will confirm.

Now, before you can send SMS, you will need to re-input your message centre number, because it has been deleted. You will also need to tell MMS settings again which access point to use. AND all your stored messages will have seemingly disappeared - it happens only this one time and NEVER again, believe me. They are still there by the way, but in the phone memory, and can no longer be accessed.

You can go back to phone memory with a trick, but the messages saved in MMC stay there and you can not copy them to phone memory.

To get back to phone memory:

1) turn phone off.

2) remove MMC card

3) turn phone on

4) enter "Messaging" menu - phone will reset it to "Phone memory"

5) exit menu

6) turn phone off

7) insert MMC

8) restart phone

Now it's phone memory again. If you want to again change to MMC, just run MSdriveE once again.

God Bless All Of You
Nanda Kishore.G

Hi guys...
Whoever says the 3230 is a bad phone then they are completely wrong... Except for a minor problem with the screen i have not had any problems with my 3230 for the whole year that i have had it. Its an excellent phone by my standards. If you wanna save your contacts on the memory card then backup your phone memory on the card... The option is available in the memory card menu.
