Hi Simon George Mandy
I Think it is possible if you have dialup connection, but not if your pc is using proxy, i.e, if internet is connected thru proxy but not direct dial-up connection then it is not possible. But if your pc connected thru dial-up then I think it is possible.
God Bless All Of You
I read once long ago that its possible to connect my phone to the internet via bluetooth thru my pc's internet connection. Does anyone know just how this can be done?
I doesnt hang that frequently (in fact it never hang for me I have been using it for i week ).I never found a problem with the phone.playing games with joystick is a bit tough.
Hi, I want to ask a question about the software of nokia 323. i heard is very bad and at times it hangs. but I want to know if it hangs on the phone or on the computer in the transfer is being made. and how is the diurabiltity? Can some one use it for more than 5 year after taken good care of it??
3230 has a poor speaker is an undeniable fact. It's simply incomparable to SE phone as well as 6630, 6230i, 6680 etc. Sound quality coming out of headset is ok but there's too much background noise (hiss sound) so i don like it at all. But it sound really cool when played thru a bluetooth handsfree... just a bit too soft (not loud enough) that's all.
Personally I still think 3230 is the most wonderful model so far. I really like everything it got. I wish Nokia can come out with a model that keeps every features and design the same but only upgrade the processor to the 233Mhz version (and running OS8) and put in a better speaker.... that would really really be cool. Too bad newer phones r starting to run OS9 and have heard so much bad things about OS9...
i searched a lot 4 a good mobile and i bought it after searching but it was not good enough tones is bad mp3 player is too bad i wish i had n't bought it .
Excellent mobile set with extraordinary out look, one of the most good looking mobile so far launched by Nokia.
WEAKNESS: Soft wear not very much functional and easy to use.
Hand grip isnot very good.
I dont know why people are telling the mp3 quality is bad. Please use ur headsets and plese dont convert the 128 or 192 kbps mp3's to a lower speed rate that will kill the quality and do use headphones the quality is excellent i agree that phone speaker volume is less..I recommend this phone to all who wish to buy a series 60 phone for a good price
it hangs a lot, the speed is so low, play mp3 very badly, i chose it very carefully but it seems i was rong
Install SmartMovie and then u can play avi files in full screen.

Sorry i don't know how much price diff is it now. I only know I got mine (Kingston 1Gb MMCmobile)back in January for RM290 and now some places are selling for less RM180....really can not believe it! (BTW I'm from Malaysia)
Performance huh, yes and no... basically when u installed too many programs, it'll get slow. When u put too many mp3s, it takes time for some software to read and add the files to the playlist. So common sense tells u it'll get slow definately. But I think it's acceptable. Really didn't notice much difference from when I was using 512mb RS-MMC... in my opinion, be careful what software u install and that will solve most of the performance problem. Don install those program that runs in the background if u don really need to use them or else u'll have plenty of software loaded in the memory and start slowing things down.
RS-MMC or RS-DV-MMC... well nowadays their price r like what... almost the same?? Basically 3230 can not use the DV features of the MMCmobile at all coz it's running at 3.3V. But since the price is almost the same, it's good to get the DV version (MMCmobile) for two reasons. 1, u can share ur card with friends who have newer phones. 2, u can use back the card if in any case u upgrade to newer phone that only support the DV card.
Which company... can't comment much... the more popular brand available at my place are Kingston, Transcend & Kingmax. But until now i only know Kingston and Transcend has 1Gb version of their MMCmobile.
Hope i've answer ur questions. Cheers
How can i view videos on this phone? what kind of format do i need to play video? i tried avi but it doesnt seem to appear in the list of files that can be played on the real player in the phone (bleh) Can someone help?
It was a good phone, but turned bad as the network on the phone was lost and NOKIA ( India), cud not do anything to get it repaired. They did tk the phone several times but always were unable to get it fixed and finally i hd to do away with this phone.
> Hope NOKIA (India)gets better.
Forgot to ask in the previous one,Any software available for pc so that we can install symbian games in the pc and run?
Thanks In Advance
Want to know is there any way i can browse internet in my Nokia 3230 from my coputer's internet connection by establishing blutooth connection between phone and pc.Any specific software or settings required for this?
Thanks in Advance
Is there much price diff between 512mb and 1gb card ? I heard that phone performance will go down if you put 1 gb.Is that right ?Then which is the nokia official link where i can see the memmory card that supported by the phone ? And if i am buying which company i should go for .I am from bangalore. And should i go for Dual Volatge RS MMC?
Thanks in Advance
Just to clarify, the 477mb i mentioned refers to avi files (video and movie files).
My mp3s come up another 275mb.
O btw nowadays i more or less resample all my mp3s to 48kbps~64kbps at either 32kHz or 22kHz mono channel. In that way i get a lot more space without noticable difference to sound quality since the phone speaker is so lousy.
Yes I've more than 512mb data in my card. In fact I only have less than 50mb left out of my 1Gb MMC. Trust me, it's working alright.
I have 100 over games and applications installed, 100 over mp3s and 4 full length smartmovie plus a couple of MV in avi format (which took up about 477mb of my space)... no problem at all.
For info, I'm using Kinston MMCmobile.
Check out Transcend website. Select Nokia and then 3230 and press Go. See what they listed. Both RS-MMC and MMCmobile (RS-DV-MMC) are supported... up to 1Gb for 3230.
