Dear Raksh,

I have downloaded Psiloc total ir remote control. Its not working with 3230 Mobile. Moreover my set gets hung because of this. Also I like to tell you.. because some reason ( I don't know exactly ) I am unable to remove this IR Remote thing from my mobile. So I Played a Trick .. And I removed It After wasting a lot of time.

Don't put 1GB or 2GB card in your mobile .. 3230 Will not support this.

You can have 512MB Card.. My friends are having 512 MB Externel Memory.. Its working..

512 MB costs exactly 5000Rs (Rates may differ depends on area you are)

God Bless All Of You.

              Mex
Try get a USB bluetooth adapter for your PC. It's much more stable and easy to use bluetooth than IR... ur phone can be a few meters away when u transfering data. The adapter is quite cheap nowadays.

                Hi guys, Mex here...

Thankyou for the ideas and responses.

Because I can't establish a stable I.R connection, there is currently no way of syncrhonising my Outlook calandar data. This seems to be the biggest frustration and issue.

Bugga Bugga Bugga... Should'a got the N70... :(

Yo Mex. How about using a card reader instead of the slow and outdated infrared port and the annoying unreliable pc suite? A card reader is able to mobile your data in your fone card like a pendrive.. It only costs a few tenths of a bucks. Get one today and you will not regret it. But see positive results. Good luck buddy.

Hi guys, I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced any problems with connecting a Nokia 3230 via infrared to a laptop?
I have used/connected four models of infrared capable phones with my laptop and I know there is no problems with the lappy.

I am using Nokia PC Suite 6.7.22 and as mentioned, trying to connect the 3230 via Infrared. When connecting the phone, Windows XP Pro reports that a phone is present or nearby, but:
                        - after one minute - the phone disconnects automatically
                        - Nokia PC Suite connectivity function does not recognise the phone's presence
                        - There appears to be no communication occuring on the Infrared monitor in the Windows system tray.

I have tried tinkering with this problem for a couple of hours and gave up. I know it can't be that difficult....
Could it be that the phone needs a newer firmware update, or I need some sort of software patch for the Nokia Suite? etc etc

Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated... Thanks.

                            Hi

Please dont buy this phone.. this phone SUCKS!!

let me start with the sound. it sucks
the internal memory is so low. u cannot transfer directly to the card memory. u will have to first download it to the phone memory and then transfer to the card memory. this again sucks.

general operations are also slow. I always check if any applicatins are running behind.. even without that the phone is slow. its a waste of money. well hah.. the cam (1.3)mega pxls. this is the only good feature in this phone.

                            DONT EVER BUY THIS PHONE.
