The ram for very active users is just not enough. I have tried again running few apps in background, seems they are reloading again the apps. So user needs close unused apps regularly as they eat the ram in background. But there no sign of slowliness of phone. Nokia 6 may enough for enjoyable multitasking. For those who is not in urgency wanna new phone, you should better wait for the next android phones by Nokia, partnering with xiaomi and carl zeiss lens. They for sure will built a solid camera and good performance phone and i hope they will pack more ram on upcoming devices coz android needs huge ram as required by nowadays demanding apps. Android system already eats so much. So need more ram for sure for the active multitasking users. If you open 2-4 lite apps it won't be a problem. But if you are playing YouTube videos, scrolling fb, using camera, and browsing some website on google chrome it may reload back the thing u want see after you left it in background.

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2017From where you bought nokia 5?? Right now it's not available anywhere.Does it have heating problem ?
Anonymous, 01 Jul 2017Hi. I'm also considering nokia 5. I like its looks better than the 6. and the it has a dedicat... moreJust received my new Nokia 5 yesterday. I'm so happy with it as it is my first Android smartphone (I got android tab which I rarely use it) and it's snappy than i thought. Its fluid and buttery smooth eventho it uses midrange processor. 2gb ram is enough for this phone. I have tested open multiple tab of hefty websites on google chrome, games and few other apps (fb,ig and etc), camera and it working great and the ram management is awesome. It could catch up all of those apps without reloading all again. If this phone is around your budget, i would recommend it, but if you got some extra money throw them to Nokia 6 (you get extra rom and ram and full hd display) . But this nokia 5 for me is enough and i don't want influence your decision. You can make by your own like I did. They have created beautiful firm design and it feels like an iphone on my hands, smooth touching and the antenna bands also looks like an iphone 7. I love it. Btw i also have WP10 and i still keep it. It has work for me for years.
Anonymous, 06 Jul 2017Already got it :PDoes it have the notification led?
Anonymous, 06 Jul 2017Not seeing it... HMD is rubbish!HMD has many former Nokia employees so almost real. Give them time. Much better than Microsoft

Anonymous, 04 Jul 2017Launching in a few daysNot seeing it... HMD is rubbish!
I heared that the phone is good, but only the camera is not good in low light (night).
Anonymous, 22 Jun 2017It just arrived in south African but it hasn't been realized here....200 rands p/m on vodacom,cheapR199 on MTN too
Mi may be giving a good specs. But the built quality is poor. No service centre. Redmi 4a RS 5999 uses snapdragon but it gets heat a lot..when other phones in market like VIVO uses same processor doesn't get heat.. This is due to lack of quality
schilviu, 01 Jul 2017With this release, Nokia tries to "re-warm the soup"... For that price, dear friends, try many... moreI've been eyeing on p9 lite too, but it seems p8 lite 2017 is much better. So my decision falls between p8 lite 2017 and nokia 5 but I can't decide yet because there are no reviews of nokia 5 yet due to the delay of the release.
jab, 02 Jul 2017I was gunning for the Nokia 3 earlier but shifted my barrel unto the nokia 5 due to the 3's me... moreAbsolutely true. After reading the Nokia 3 review here on GSMArena, I just ended all my interest in this phone and looking up to the nokia 5. BUT looks like HMD has failed to keep its word of launching all phones in Q2. I need a new phone and will definitely wait for the nokia 5 to be available.
I m love nokia.but Same price note 4 gives 64 gb 4 gb but nokia 5 only 2/16 gb.only quality best but performance not great this price range. So. Nokia. ..hands down..
jab, 02 Jul 2017I was gunning for the Nokia 3 earlier but shifted my barrel unto the nokia 5 due to the 3's me... moreSame here. Plus there's sales and the Honor 5C is as low as 150€ at the moment, so that puts the Nokia 5 in another perspective. Still, this Nokia will receive updates when I think the Honor 5C last update will be the 7.1.1 it received 1 month ago.
Still comparing with Moto G5 and BQ Aquaris U Plus (especially for the 32GB storage thing, for this last one ; still with the 5" screen). Decisions, decisions...
I was gunning for the Nokia 3 earlier but shifted my barrel unto the nokia 5 due to the 3's mediocre-tek chipset, trouble is HMD is unexplainably delaying the release of the 5 and i am tempted to burn my cash on something else
usable storage is about 9 gb only out of 16 gb
the touch buttons and fingerprint sensor randomly stop working while charging with its own charger and dont start to work unless the phone is restarted,
HMD global....is gonna dupe Nokia the 2nd time...since Microsoft !!
beware dont buy unless more reviews come out !
