i had one of these phones one of my first phones aswell. lol you could say its a part of my childhool lol . they reall can take a beating aswell really rugged and a cool design for there age aswell if i didnt look so silly id still use one today
My collegue David brown has this mobile and thinks it da bomb. I have told him man times this phone isnt all that but he believed this is "the one". He thinks it is better than the N95!!
my late father used to use this phone and hell i can see that it is mighty durable... he dropped it more than a dozen times, it is anti theft (he forgot he placed the phone on the counter of the supermarket and after he left, he saw the bagger chasing him telling him that he forgot his phone and on another occasion, a pickpocket got his phone but then said you dropped your phone sir when in fact the phone is inside his bag with all the zippers and locks)
mighty durable and good for calls and text... too bad ONLY class A batteries are sold here in the Philippines...
this is my second handphone but yet my fave until now..i had to bought it twice after i lost it in Mall.very simple..now it cost for about US$25,very cheap..
Nokia-guru... great for mms?
Are you really guru? No MMS feature in this mobile.. maybe it's SMS..Nokia-guru?
And I'm still using one in 2008 ;). The only thing that ever needed replacing was the battery, it survived dozens of drops on the floor. Since I only need a phone for talking and don't really care about fancy displays, cameras and internet connection, I've never needed a new phone.
im amazed of this phone, i wonder what kind of phone can resist 10 times overcharging, 20 times slamming on the floor... wow it makes me wonder... gio d great...
as i used this phone i remember the days when i used to watch jurassic park...
i probably had around 7 of this model, my first one i accidentally dropped in my cup of coke which was half filled. a blowdryer was all i needed to have it fixed:-) i miss this one. and 8110 too
First phone i ever owned, next broke ever even after being thrown across the room by an angry bf haha its a weapon i miss it so much :(
It seemed almost everyone in Indonesia owned this phone when it was launched in 1998, they call it the phone of the "commoners". I bought mine in 1999 and changed the original cover with smoked-see through one with all the inner parts visible, damn cool for the time.
Nokia 5110 was the first cellphone I even had. It's also one of the best. I'm trying to find a new one, I can't find my own =/
5110 rocks.. its still exist.. i have 2 5110 units.. until now der still functioning.. the one is 8 yrs and the other is 6 yrs.. and still count.. hehehe
