if somebody is planning to take dis fone....drop the idea....it has number of dis advantages...main of which it hangs over..sudden switch off....n display becomes blank suddenly.....
the only good thing is its music output....
In the User Manual it is said that it supports external memory card only up to 2GB but this page says it supports upto 16GB. Please help me about this.
SE W395 is a better option than 5130 in terms of music. Though 5130 can support more external memory, 4 GB(as in W395)is not too small either. There might be some shortcomings on both the models but if you are looking for purely music and a basic 2MP camera, W395 is better. Free up the phone memory as much as you can and hanging problem can get minimal in both the models. Go for W395 !!!
Shreyas, 12 Oct 2010Can I use 4GB or 8GB memory card with 5130? Shreyas, 12 Oct 2010Can I use 4GB or 8GB memory card with 5130? Help me people who have tried using 4 or 8GB memor... moreshreyas.. yes the nokia 5130 can hold a 8gig micro SD.. my 5130 holds an 8gig memory card.. when starting up the phone, the phone is slow. but after the files were fully loaded after around 3mins, the phones goes back to its normal speed again.. one thing, always save ur files at the memory card. never allow the phone memory to be full, this can cause to reduce of speed of the phone, or worse, shutdown which will only lead to reformat to have it back again which will delete all phone memory files including ur contacts.. :)
never allow your messages get overloaded.. haha.. 2 days ago, my nokia 5130 had a total of 3000 msgs.. (inbox and sent) and when i decided to delete them all, i left it at my room for a while.. when i came back, my phone wont turn on, so i removed the battery and tried to turn it on again, it did but it hangs up at the start up screen.. so i decided to have it checked at NOKIA CENTER here in SM PAMPANGA, PHILIPPINES, and the have it reformatted. now its working like new again with upgraded V of V9.96.. only thing is i lost all my contacts, notes, reminders, calendars.. damn.. -.-

Can I use 4GB or 8GB memory card with 5130? Help me people who have tried using 4 or 8GB memory in 5130XpressMusic. If I buy a 4 GB card and fill it completely with data, will phone become slow? I just can't risk buying a memory card as Phone specifications say its expandable memory is 2GB only. I currently have 2GB card which is not sufficient for me. So should I go for a 4GB card? or for 8GB card? Please tell me honestly if it'll work normally or not. (its ok if its get little bit slow, but only a little)
