I have this phone for 2 years. I could chose it or 3220, but I prefer 5140.
It's a great phone, great design.
Things that I have to complain, is about the memory.

I have had it for 3 years, lost it in the snow for a week , found it, shitched it on and it worked, dropped it in a puddle while it was ringing and picked up and talked while water was dripping of it. Have never seen such thing, immortal! tell me nice sport phone to buy?

I really like this phone I had its predecessor the 5100 which has had a lot of software problems,from not turning back on the 1st day I got it to freezing and not knowing it isnt working grrr the new version is much better

the 5140 has been with us for a long time its a phone for the working man or woman or the outdoor intusiast...
draw backs are no bluetooth and hard to take off the back cover that can be looked @ as a good thing 2?
the colour ed covers were very funkie but not much to pick from ( loss of a marked there i think ) out of 10/8 docked 4 lack of accesory and bluetooth ...

I am Glad my contract is up on this phone.Had major software faults in first 3 months and phone away long time for repairs.The key pad is flimsy and has been replaced.The screen quality is bad.Perhaps time to switch away from Nokia.

i had this phone for 1 year it is preaty stronge it's last for 1-3 day batt the only bad part is it has no mp3 but the nokis 5140i it is a good phone but if you are in to music donot buy it

i onli had this fone for 1 year, and the cover is starting to wear out! lol and the battery now last for 1.5 hour talk time! wasnt worth my $400 =( i hate it.

I have this fone niw for 2 years, and battery life still exellent, 3-5 days (signal & operating dependant).
Uses the thermometer alot.
Commpass works perfectly, much cheaper than say a "Suuntoo".
Video size and memory can be better, as well as the display. sometimes difficult to see in sunlight, but this is the thing with color screens. Cannot have both ways.

I am using Nokia 5140 for almost two (2) years now, still in great shape. Very useful especially on fieldworks! To date, only the key pad surface started to fade. So far, the best model in it's class!!!

This is the worst phone I've ever had, about a month after I bought it, it started to crash, sometimes it restarted itself after a crash, sometimes I had to take the battery out. About 11 months after I bought it, it crashed and wouldn't get back up again, so I sent it in for service and got the same phone back (!), factory reset. Now, after 14 months it crashed once and for all. I'm just going to buy the cheapest model I can find and smash my 5140 with a mallet.

I used to have this phone before my Samsung E720, and I hated it! It kept falling apart and it wasn't that tough like it said it was in the magazines!!! Does anybody know how you connect this with a computer? Tell me please by e-mailing me. Thanks
