I recently updated my 5220 with 5.63 and found that battery performance is improved. previously it was working for 2 days but now it can work till full 3 days with moderate use. Yahoo IM also able to connect after updating. Good patch this one.

I have been using nokia 5220 expressmusic for a month now. It has 5.20 firmware. Under the sun it is very hard to see the screen ,almost dark. Is it normal with this model, can it be improved?

phone looks very nice...very attractive but battery capacity and loudspeakers is not so good when compared to other nokia models...

Its really bad phone.If u have a bucks of 7000 Rs throw it on dust bin rather than buying this phone.The phone has lot of problems

hello folks..
i hv a technical prob: i am unable to use my phone as modem..my pc is unable to install modem drivers..and a message is prompt some INF file in installer corrupt. but it works fine on other pcs...presently i use XP SP2 edition on my pc.

I got this set on Jan'09 and now its started hanging/switching off & restarting automatically... I guz its basic SW pbm... It also has time difference pbm though correct GMT is set... Hv given it to Nokia service for repair... Wl keep u updated on results... If you hv any other input/info the pls share...!

My friend also had hanging problem and was about to sell this phone. Then he updated to latest firmware now his phone does not hang and works perfectly.

Guys, I have just got this phone, I love teh sound qulity through the headphone (I use Sony Ericsson hpm 85), really good, even louder and more pleasant than my former 5800 (I sold this one coz I got so disappointed with d camera and the current price which has been dropping so drastically). I only have one problem with 5220, when I set the ringtone at full volume, why does the sound become really bad, crackling, etc, as if the loudspeakers are going to burst? The loudspeakers also behave that way when I listen to music via the loudspeakers at full volume, is it normal? I have compared mine to my friend's and my friend's also hav d same problem. is there anyway to fix it, maybe via firmware upgarde, etc. I love this phone but the loudspeakers problem really disturbs me.

Switch off Stereo Widening, this will make loudspeaker sound even louder & clear even at full volume.
When you plug in earphones you can switch it on to get better effect.
