Thanx bro. but u kno almost all nokias sold in south asia are labeled 'made by Nokia' and made in Nokia factories of China which is mentioned in box.i think they compromise quality to make it cheaper.
can u please tell me how can i update to 5.20 in detail.i'm an old user of nokia but never updated it myself. so i'm a bit confused.what will happen to my contacts and calender notes? thanks once again.

I've just had problems with my 5220xm. it used to hang or restart sometimes when i remove the headset, or when i browse thru the tracks, or change playlists in the middle of a playing track. I have an 8gb msdhc class 6 memory card. Now the unit shows the dreaded "contact service" error. I tried updating the firmware to v5.x from the stock v4.00, but still i receive the same error. Other than that i've had a blast using the unit as a music phone, still have to find out what caused the real problem to the unit. Having the unit serviced this week. I did some research on people i know using other units (nokia, se, samsung, etc) and having the same problems, based on their reports, they say they almost maxed out the memory card to almost full. That's where the errors begin until you come to the point where the unit won't "boot" anymore. So maybe almost maxxing out the memory card (98% full), must've been a contributing factor to the dreaded crash of the unit. Will update you guys on the service results.

Nahid, 20 Dec 2008btw,have u had any problem when u used v4.86? have u updated it by urself? aaand... r u from Bd?I *never* had any restarting problems or any other issues with this phone. I updated to 5.2 just because it was available.
I uppd it myself and I'm not from bd. I mentioned that it's made in Hungary just for reference, I think it's good idea if we knew where the problematic phones are coming from.
Personally I suspect that the restarting phones are not nokia at all, I think they are fake.
BTW, most nokias which are sold in europe are made in hungary because it's their biggest factory in europe, now that the german factory is closed.

my sister is using this phone and there is a problem. whenever she remove the earphones from jack,the phone restarts. i have also updated my software from nokia care but no results and speaker voice is full of treble no bass. i don't think so that its a good phone
