Such a poor phone that it sold 160 million! My still works 13 years later. I think you just got unlucky, or had too high expectations from a budget phone. I paid £59.99 for mine, that included the sim card, £10 top-up, free maps, 4GB SD card, and...
I also had this model. Cheap plastic, low specs (I sometimes ran out of memory/RAM, doing not much more than using phone/SMS/calendar/Notes), bad touch experience, software and user interface slow or buggy, and bulky design. Clearly one of the device...
