amar, 04 Jul 2010any tips for batery lyf improvement ????Put ur cell in one bucket water.
i hav jst got dis phone...
i think its a marvellous creation by Nokia...
but 1 thing dat dissapointed me is its sound quality..
both on da speakers as well as da headphones...
da sound is feebler dan necessary..
dis is da 1 thing dat can be improved in dis phone..
otherwise its worth investing on it..!!!
I've purcahsed this phone in January from Nokia store. Sometimes when I keep my phone on a BEEP + VIBRATION profile, it doesnt Vibrate. I cud barely hear the Beep sound but there is no VIBRATION. Although I keep the VIBRATION turned ON. Later I switch off my phone n then switch on so the VIBRATION works.. I mean is this normal ??? Also why the ringtones are not that powerful ? It's average sound when kept on maximum... Any comments ???

As I said some weeks ago, you can install an Orange Tsunami homescreen, but you will have to get a cert and sign it.
I have more than 30 shortcuts and I almost never move away from my start page!
max, 02 Jul 2010hey guys... can u say how to see the operator/sim current offers on the home screen of 5230...... moreGo to Settings>Connectivity>Network>Cell Info Display. Turn it On. You will be able to see location details/offers on home screen if supported by your network operator (All indian operators does support it).
It would be better if it has 5 or 6 standby shortcuts at the front menu, just like the nseries . Plus the icons are too damn big!
Just got this phone yesterday.
Qwerty touch keyboard on phone as well as Opera mini is very accurate to the fingers.
Phone is very reactive in speed.
A feature i like so far is the ability to manage open apps as well as data connections.
The only con i have experienced is the akward position of the camera button. The reason being i almost break it off everytime i dont look thinking it is the stylus.
So far great midrange s60, my previous phone was the 3120c s40 so i cant wait to hack this one.
hiiii wt is the cost & does video work good oon this mobile waiting for reply

hi guys just wanted to put my two cents in on the phone and its features.
I give the look a 6/10 nothing two eye catching about the phone, i have yet to see a black one offered from T-Mobil. it is a little thicker than i had expected, the Samsung Instinct has similar stock features yet slightly thinner.
Features: The Features are almost limitless thanks to the Nokia OVIstore, the UI look is endless due to the Symbian OS Theme Developers out there.
UI: The UI (User Interface) can be frustrating at times, you have to go through path after path to get to what you are looking for at times, it is definably not self explanatory for new users.
I am a little disappointed with the home screen, you are only allotted 4 shortcut icons for apps and other things at the top of the screen under the clock and indicators, leaving about a whole square inch of unused space on your HS. i would have loved to see a more user friendly UI similar to either iPhone or other smart phones that have all their options and shortcuts right on the HS.
Performance: i would give the performance an 8/10 it has great multi-tasking capabilities, although if your not careful you might leave multiple windows open without knowing it bogging down your hand held.
over all i will give the phone a 7.5/10
Got this phone unlocked for £100. It's fantastic value for money, you get all the following:
1) Free sat nav
2) Nokia mail
3) Decent battery life
4) Sturdy design
5) Usual Nokia software (media player, etc)
Ok the camera isn't great and there's no flash. The lack of wifi isn't a big issue for me, always found nokia's wifi to be a bit dodgy.
Not the most stylish phone or most feature filled phone, but very good value for money. Got this as a back up to my iphone 3GS with iOS4 - the best phone I've owned, but when it comes to value for money the nokia wins.
