Just buy 5230 few days ago. Quite satisfied with it, the only one thing disappoint me so far is loudspeaker volume. It's really... really poor :(
Note It come with 10 Days Premium service option like driving navigations etc. and voice guided navigation.
1 year premium service cost is around 700Rs and need to be purchase if u need driving navigation option etc."
Have read this info in Nokia 5235 page of GSM arena. Is it correct that voice navigation is free for only 10 days & we have to pay 700rs per year in order to enjoy the same....?....
Is that true, that (5230)the Display has poor sunlight legibility? It is written on the review page of this site. So any user please replay.

I am placed at rural area and here some shop do sell Nokia products but they are not official sellers of company thats why I purchased it from official seller in city nearby. Here almost 60% population is located in rural belt but international companies do only provide official sales and support in urban areas. We have to travel lot to get even minor problems rectified in fact we are used to with it by now. Wont blame Nokia though; whatever support they provide though is decent.

That offsets whatever little increase in price of handsets there. @anonymous, 200km is very far. Here part of the policy is that we can bring the unit to the store where we bought the unit and it will be the store to bring it to nokia care.

I hope they solve the issue or replace the device without taking too much time. I have purchased the device from one of the Nokia priority centre in pune, india itself so I don't think there would be any problem to claim it under warrenty as I have receipt of purchase. Thanks you guys for consulting me on the issue by the way.

Then it would be pathetic. Mine is exactly 15 days old and I didn't even realized the issue in 3 days of purchase. Later when I found out the issue, I tried to solve it on preliminary basics like hard reset and reinstalling firmware by using software updater programme because care centre is about 200km from my house. It was adviced by some guys on official Nokia discussion forums but that didnt help.

Here in the philippine if the phone has factory defect nokia will replace it outright within 3 days of purchase. After that the phone is covered for 1 year parts and service. I would bet the warranty policy is the same in your country. But still better to bring it to nokia care. The problem might be solved via flashing the firmware by nokia itself.

So far for me, my experiences with Nokia customer services have been pleasant and hassle free. So if there is something wrong witn the main board, they will either change the board free of cost or replace you with a new handset.
NoyPi, 28 May 2010Bring it to nokia care. They will replace it with a new one. ÜYa, thanks for suggestion. But they will try to solve the issue at first. If they unable to do so, I have right to ask for replacement. Am I right? I am afraid if they say no to it. Is there any official policy by Nokia about replacement of device?

Mine is not loaded with any applications as I have not inserted memory card in it. Phone memory is half filled with just 4 songs, new ovi maps version, contacts and few messages. But it still restarts. I would not mind if it just restarts but change in date and time is pathetic. I will take it to care centre. Thanks for help.
indieover, 28 May 2010you have not told me how to hack my phone for free internet connection. I already sent you an email. I even directed you to our forum and proper thread, let's start from there. Next we will show you the free apps and games you can dl from that site. Ü

Mine does too but only when I overload it with apps. Unexpected restarts are something that needs to be looked at. It is not normal for the date and time to change randomly. I syspect the CMOS chip that counts the date might be the culprit. I suggest you take it to the priority center to have it looked at. By the looks of things, this does seem like a serious issue.
