AT&T, 24 Feb 2010Thank u.can u tell me,what is the average lifespan of its touch screen?if any prblm persists r... moreHello, since it is merely 3 months that this phone has come 2 sale, so there should be no points with the life of its screen. I think u need not 2 worry about the screen's life because one of my friend owns motorokr e6 since 2 years and that is still working well. In my opinion after long time when phone's screen will go undone, by that time u will be in the hunt for another one. I don't know if the screen is replaced n how much it costs.
Bought this phone yesterday actually love it, cz in that price u get GPS with free maps and a touch screen and ofcoure alot of apps in OVI store i think its the best u can get in that price.
The only thing which i was sad abt was i dint told my gf that im getting this phone :( may be that will effect the life of my phone :-/

if nokia has stopped the production of this phone will it cause any proble... moreI d0nt think n0kia had st0pped and will st0p the pr0ducti0n of 5230. If it was, then it was only due to the m0bile c0ngress. In mid march, as what they say, it wil be raining 5230 in the market again. Even n0w, few market has it already.
Anyway, if ever n0kia wil st0p it, i d0nt see anything that wil cause pr0blems. If ur pertaining to a pr0duct servicing in the future, and u might th0ught that n0kia w0nt supp0rt ur ph0ne anym0re due to "disc0ntinued" status of 5230, then that w0uld be 5yearz fr0m n0w i guess. So d0nt w0rry, perhapz at that time u wil pr0bably have an0ther latest cheap ph0ne. Ü
Its really t0o early to stop 5230's pr0ducti0n.
Can u guys tell me, what is the usual life period of touch screen?if there is a problem, can i replace it with a new screen in my nokia 5230?plz,guys,help me....
majid, 24 Feb 2010I have a childish question but will be appreciated if anyone replies me:
1-Is there any mobil... moreOff Satellite... No.
There are phones that can pick up broadcast off terrestrial tower though.
I have seen some chinese models having this functionality. TV off nearby local tower.
Also it is worth mentioning that Nokia has been pushing a terrestrial broadcast format called DVB-H which is also endorsed by EU as "preferred technology for terrestrial mobile broadcasting". Broadcast will most probably be through mobile cell towers and will be of "acceptable quality" and giving access to service while moving in a vehicle at high speed.
If this becomes a standard in countries than user will be able to get live broadcast on their handheld devices (that will include mobile phones) that has a DVB-H reciever. There has been Nokia phones that came with a built in DVB-H reciever like Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition, N96, N77 etc and of other brands (complete list here : http://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?sName=&idMaker=0&idAvailability=0&nPriceLow=0&nPriceHigh=0&idCurrency=0&idFormFactor=0&idDualSIM=0&idQwerty=0&HeightMax=0&WidthMax=0&ThicknessMax=0&WeightMax=0&idOS=0&idDisplay=0&idDisplayRes=0&fDisplaySize=0&idDisplayTech=0&idTouchscreen=0&idAccelerometer=0&id35mm=0&idCamera=0&idCameraFlash=0&idVideoRecorder=0&idExpansionCard=0&idGPS=0&bWLAN=0&bEDGE=0&bGPRS=0&idBluetooth=0&bIR=0&bEmail=0&bWAP=0&bJava=0&idRadio=0&bMMS=0&idRingtones=0&sColor=&StandBy=0&TalkTime=0&sFreeText=DVB-H )
Nokia N92 doesn't has an inbuilt DVB-H reciever, but you can get an external Nokia reciever : http://europe.nokia.com/find-products/accessories/all-accessories/home-and-office/mobile-tv-receivers/nokia-mobile-tv-receiver-su-33w
Hope that answers your question

Are you taking about the phones internal speaker or through a decent set of headphones?
I do like the format of the Blackberry style thumbpad clones.
I already sold my 5230 after almost a month of using it. Why? Because I didn't like it. It was cool for the first three days but it got a bit annoying after that. You'll need to click on something TWICE for it to work, and that's not the way a touchscreen phone is supposed to work. Many other factors made me sell this phone. Above all, it was not that good of a phone for me.; Nokia E63, the phone that I have now, has MUCH BETTER sound quality and it's not even a music phone. You guys decide, but in my opinion, this phone made me regret spending my hard-earned Christmas overtime pay.
