Patches are actually small modifications /fixes that we apply on softwares.
Software updates are actually bulky patches distributed by those companies.
Rom patcher is an application that we install in phone to apply some small patches. Some custome firmware comes with rom patcher pre installed.
You need a hacked phone for its installation.
