utk, 30 Dec 2010mate... Update your firmware by the flashing method. Same steps used for flashing with katalys... moreTnx a lot dude. Im really cnfused about these things and also concern about what hapnd if i do anything wrong and make my lovely mobile dead.
Its really bored to dwnld nokia soft updater then dwnld update fw and then update mobiles fw version. Now it seems very easy to update mobiles fw version by flashing. Bcz i already've the original fw 4 flshng. Again many many thanks.

Hi guys... I'm posting here my current top list of applications.
1) Orange Tsunami HS - The best HS available which gives you the perfect balance of looks and practicality all the while using the least phone resources.
2) Ravensoft battery extender - A very good app which I use to manage my display brightness and abcklight timeout. Saves a lot of battery.
3) Handy taskman - The best task manager application for it's simplicity and user friendly touch optimised interface.
4) Bluetooth receiver application - The only application of it's kind which is a must if transferring large files via BT.
5) Resco photo viewer - Currently the best photo viewer application (previously it was LCG photobook) to replace the slow and unappealing gallery.
6) Dz music keys - A must have application which can change tracks, pause and play music using the hardware buttons even when the phone is locked.
7) Fun torch - The best torch app that I could find for my 5233. All the rest are tailored for 5800 and uses the LED flash as a handy flashlight.
8) Address book - Though a bit resource hungry, this is an all in one app for managing contacts, messages, logs etc all under one roof. There are also other goodies like a call recorder and the all important smart dial functionality.
Guys need your opinions and tell me if you think there is a better alternative to the apps mentioned above. That way it will benefit me as well as others who visit this thread

I wouldn't recommend 5233 as a good gaming phone though there are quite a few games especially from game developers like Polarbit. Raging thunder, wave blazer, toonwarz etc are some of my favorites. All these games take advantage of the built-in accelerometer for controls. Well it doesn't replace the good old keypad though. Anyway in addition, most java games are compatable with this phone. It just so happens that the touch screen isn't that good for gaming or atleast for me.
In the case of videos, it scores a perfect 10 for a phone in this budget. Supports all popular formats like 3gp, mp4, avc and some flv's. mp4 videos upto 640x480 resolutions and 30fps plays fine and smoothly without any hiccups. The 3.2 inch high res display is a blessing if you plan to use the phone as a portable video player. A full charge can give you continuous video playback upto 3 hours.

help me experts....
When i tried to install some apps, it showed....APPLICATION IS FOR DEVELOPMENT PURPOSE ONLY, CONTINUING MAY CAUSE SERIUOS PROBLEM FOR YOUR DEVICE.
I naturally didn't go on & cancelled installation. What i want to know is why did this happen? What would have happened if i went on installing? Btw i have an unhacked phone with original fw.

hey guys have you tried DASUR SLIDE IT app? it gives a fantastic texting experience unlike the worthless default handrighting keyboard/qwerty keyboard.

i've seen display of it's video. it's fantastic. not too sharp but very good for HP that have a value like that. n can soom in/out too hahahah. i give 4 of 5 stars.
n about watching a film with 5233 is not bad for an HP that have a value like that. i give minimum 3 of 5 stars.

but i still can't have it. if i bought it 1/2 month ago, i can, but i can't play online game at cyber cafe. sucks... T_T.../sob hiks...hhffhhh
