kashmir, 10 Dec 2010what's the purpose of katalyst^2 ?its purpose is to do a catalytic action on the original firmware.
purchased it a week earlier and what i experienced is as below:
1. touch is very responsive.
2. screen is very very good and impressive.
3. audio is a bit low but its quality is fine.
4. camera quality is awsome especially video quality.i havn't seen a mobile capturing video as good as 5233, not even n'series.
i suggest those who havn't experienced 52** series to have it without thinking much.good job nokia!
I flashed my phn wd d latest c6 v20 firmware by pnht.believe me,its d best cfw for 5233 ever,it supports landscape mode hs., gallery bcums vry user friendly n fast n it luks difrnt too. Phn is fast enough nw. Waitng for more modification of d c6 cfw.hav a try guys!
kiran, 10 Dec 2010i cant understand about 128 mb internal RAMRAM means Random Access Memory ie all the current programs which u r running on ur phone uses RAM and 128RAM means u can open many applications simultaneosly without the problem of fone hanging and 128 RAM is good enough to run minimum 6 applications continously...believe me m using n95 8gb which also has the same RAM and there is no problem of hanging till now

utk, 09 Dec 2010Yes the very same effect. It only works when opening something from homescreen. I have seen it... moreperhaps the effect im talking about is a bit different frm yours. Ill give you confirmation after watching some videos of discord effects.
Sbdevilmind, 09 Dec 2010No no. I ain't talking about the application opening flyaway effect. I am talking of this one.... moreYes the very same effect. It only works when opening something from homescreen. I have seen it somewhere else as well. NFE can edit rofs3. Select file type as ALL when you browse for rofs. Add the rofs3 file you want to edit, follow the same process of rofs2. NFE can also extract/edit core files. But i read that when we repack it the file gets damaged and we may end up with a briked phone.
utk, 09 Dec 2010Correction...
Flyaway effect works when opening anything(except menu) from homescreen(orats... moreNo no. I ain't talking about the application opening flyaway effect. I am talking of this one. Suppose, i opened a folder in menu. Then the screen goes back towards infinity then flips vertically and during this, another screen (the one that you are supposed to end up in) slides from the right (slides from left if you go back).
Btw, please upload rofs3 editor software to my gmail account. Or whatever editing software you are using. The one i am using can edit only rofs2 and uda. Its name is Nokia firmware editor v0.7 by pnht.
utk, 09 Dec 2010Yesterday I added the effects to both rofs2(original) and rofs3(Katalyst) and flashed my phone... moreCorrection...
Flyaway effect works when opening anything(except menu) from homescreen(oratsu).
For adding effects to Katalyst, simply edit rofs3. That should replace all the effects applied in rof2(original), that's what I have done. Will try to figure out the rotation/orientation effects problem later.
