I am using katalyst^2 over the previous firmware version i.e 21.1.004. So, yes you can use it over the previous firmware. Just make sure that the mod file i.e rofs and uda have the exact same name as the same files in the original firmware. Or else your phone might brick. But since you already have the latest firmware files then just use them. Why bother renaming and taking risk.

I am so pissed with the Cyber Cafe owner whom I asked to download. First he forgot then when I personally went to start the download, just before it finished, some kid messed it all up. By then it was too late to start the download again. I guess, all good things needs waiting.

Anonymous, 06 Dec 2010hey side, that means we cannot install other HS in that c6 cfw?I want oratsu and orange on any cfwNot so sure about that mate.. if it is an original C6 port and without any custom mods, then it'll be rather difficult installing OratsuHS or any other softwares for the matter.. Anyway it is something that needs to be seen.I hope Sb will be able to clarify all our doubts... Sb you here mate?

Thanks Ankit and Anonymous for your replies..that was a really good differentiating factor between C3 and 5233. But do touch phones last? I mean is the touch layer easily prone to damage by constant usage? another reason why i feel touch is better is that u'll have huge onscreen keypad where all keys are easily accessible unlike the ususal qwerty phones (which in cases of some emergency) one'll have to keep searching for a particuar key.. please evaluate more pros and cons between touch and qwerty

All you'll get is... moreYes, I do agree with the fact that if I get the same transition effects in katalyst then I would not have thought of this upgrade too much. But I am definately eager to know why people were so much hell bent in getting c6 ported to 5800 or 5530 etc, so much. What exactly is so special about this anyways.
Another thing that I want modders to figure out is to, how make the menu structure look like the ones in sumbian^3. I mean the menu bar remaining in bottom even in landscape mode. This does increase the area of the screen to contain menu items.

So what exactly does the phone say when you try installing custom homescreens? Although its a bad thing but whats the loss in trying, right. I can come back to katalyst if I feel bored later.
