rocky, 29 Nov 2010abd if he replies to your post then it would look like mr offtopic has wriitten an offtopic po... more1) Writing programs in C++ isn't difficult. It's one of the easiest.
2) Every single modern operating system out there are written with C/C++ including Android, Windows and all the Linux based OS.
3) Symbian is not behind all OSs, right now it's only behind Android in terms of performance.
4) Symbian lags behind Android because of it's inability to support hardware intensive processes. Android is designed for performance, it supports power architecture and MIPS instruction sets which are required for high performance processors and 3D tasks.
5) Until recently symbian remained a non open source OS, which prevented software makers from developing softwares that can make full use of hardware acceleration. It's the reason why we still don't have a proper 3rd party video player that can play videos smoothly.
6) Latest version of skyfire uses flash player 10, which is not yet available for symbian^1. We may have to wait for the release of Flash lite 4 for symbian^1. Flash lite 4 is very hardware intensive, so we may not get it.
7) Nokia's top end smartphone range would be taken by Maemo/MeeGo, middle by Symbian^3(5 later) and low end by Symbian^1/Symbian.
8) Symbian is here to stay, they may no longer be the top mobile OS but since the hardware requirements for symbian are low they can still dominate the lower end market.

anyways i heard that skyfire is not supporting symbian anymore is that true??? why everyone is leaving symbian os.....i don't think so skyfire requires core i7 to run or its just that world is simply against the symbian...IMO symbian is the best os i have ever seen....symbian^3 has also received some negative reviews....looks like 2010 or may be 2011 is the end for symbian platform...and coding in c++ is it so difficult it pros suck these days then....thanx!!!

Sorry if i am wrong. But what do you expect me to believe if i think that the person i am replying to is already known for asking and writing senseless comments. I even doubt the authenticity of your name. I already know these security stuffs but i don't want to waste my effort in trying to explain a big essay to someone i doubt even exists. Unlike one who pasted an already witten review from another site, i prefer writing things in my own language. I am again sorry if i misjudged you or something but if you really like staying here and asking quality questions then don't use names that itself mocks the person whom you are asking something. Your question wasn't meaningless at all. Actually it was too good a question to be asked by someone who likes making mock ups of others (considering you are that person). So, tell me now that you are a singularity posting by the same name. Then on i promise i won't ignore your posts and answer to them wholeheartedly. Sorry brother, but i don't like hurting others by thwarting anger meant for someone else. I am waiting for your reply.
Sbdevilmind, 29 Nov 2010Encryptions has something to do with the security module, not in making the operating system. ... moreActually my question was from pure curiosity and twas not any mock up .After reading that review, i had a doubt that if there are any other os in mobiles which is more encrypted than symbian .So i asked it straight to you and totally disappointed with the method of reply. The only thing that i wanted to prove is that anything which is not under the area of one's knowledge is not necessarily meaningless.
No offense, thanks a lot.

Its just like making the food and then keeping it in hot case. Btw, i really doubt you asked the question to get an answer. It seemed more like a mock up. Anyways, sorry that i was proved wrong. Cheers to you.......

But you should know one rule. Always describe the name of the person who actually wrote this review. Anyways, i will do it for you. And here is also the link to the complete review. Its by 'Dennis bournique' and the review can be found in, http://wapreview.com/blog/?p=8412&cpage=1

Mr. Offtopic , 28 Nov 2010Which is the most encrypted mobile operating system?Friend, i am not a OS maker .But here are some points that i collected.
Symbian security model is the most secure in the industry. It starts with the hardware. All modern Symbiam phones contain a chip level, hardware accelerated AES encryption engine which can encrypt and decrypt large data sets on the fly without impacting the user experience. The Symbian boot loader is encrypted. As the device is powered up the hardware engine decrypts the boot loader and verifies that it has not been tampered with. Similarly, the Symbian OS image is encrypted and has to be decrypted and verified before the OS can be loaded. The hardware encrypted boot loader and OS image mean we will probably never see an alternate OS like Linux or Android running on a Symbian device. .On top of hardware and OS security lies Platform Security. Symbian apps must be signed with an encrypted certificate and Java apps may be. Signing guarantees that the app has not been tampered with and there are different certificates that rant varied levels of access to device capabilities. The certificates that allow access to the most privileged APIs are only available to Nokia, device manufacturers, mobile operators and other trusted partners. While it's true that Platform Security in older Symbian phones has been hacked to grant unsigned apps access to privileged capabilities, doing so has required physical access to the device.Lost or stolen phones can also potentially result in identity theft and disclosure of personal, financial and corporate secrets. Symbian offers users and device administrators several ways to protect sensitive information if a device goes astray. All E-Series phones since the E71 let the user encrypt the contents of device memory and the SD card using the same hardware accelerated encryption engine that protects the OS and boot loader. Decryption of data of data occurs on the fly as needed and is transparent to applications and the user. All E-Series and most N-Series phones also support remote device locking. Provided the user has enabled remote locking in advance, a lost or stolen can be locked by sending a text message containing the secret lock cod.Theres more on Symbian security onnokia.com. including a detailed securitywhite paper(PDF).
Mr. Offtopic , 28 Nov 2010Which is the most encrypted mobile operating system? How am i supposed to know. I didn't make the operating systems, lol. Anyways, encryptions has nothing to do with making operating systems. Your question itself is wrong, dude.
india, 28 Nov 2010faster than 3G? lol :PSo are you saying that this phone has 3G in it. So, why are you posting nonsense with a tongue hanging out. When i say fastest in this phone, i mean the maximum speed attainable by the hardware of this device. As for the best opera mini part, i mean that its better than its java counterpart which definately has a slower user interface (as it depends on java runtime).
