Shane, 18 Oct 2010well hi there,utk..i feel having a ambient light sensor would be usefuul as it would automatic... moreI too am facing the problem of phone memory decrease. Haven't figured out why but i do know how to minimise the effect to a certain extent. First, use a custom firmware of either ArunOrVic v27 or Revenge^6. They provide maximum C drive space. Second, use Xplore to go to C:system/cache, now delete this folder i.e 'cache'. Do this almost everyday if you install and uninstall applications frequently. Third, try using your memory card for message storage. Follow this path, menu/messages/options/settings/others/ here you will find the option to select memory card.
I recommend you to not use your phone memory for any kind of storage. And always keep about 20 mb free space in phone memory i.e C drive. I myself have around 50 mb free space in my phone memory.

Shane, 18 Oct 2010well hi there,utk..i feel having a ambient light sensor would be usefuul as it would automatic... moreOh, so you too were a 5130 user. I guess, you already know of the risks of updating hastily like we did too i.e utk and me. Sorry, but i can't give any comments on the latest firmware. As i and utk already told in this forum that we will wait for a CFW based on this latest firmware. Cause if we don't then after updating we won't be able to go back to the previous firmware. And hence will be stuck with a boring UI. Since you own a 5130 with firmware v7.xx so, i guess you already know to flash your phone using JAF or phoenix. I flashed mine more than 20 times using phoenix. Utk must have done a half century by now. My point is, just wait. Have a little patience and wait for the updated CFW. You are using a CFW now, aren't you?

[deleted post]they all have the same processors, so the same processing speed generally. Nokia made various models out the prototype TS unit 5800 so consumers can decide which unit fits their lifestyle, needs, and interests so that you won't be hardpressed to buy a model which is feature-packed at a high price but only you need very few features from the handset.

it's not a perfect scheme and Nokia have been bashed a lot for that but it made sense from a business perspective.

unfortunately, not many people can understand that.

dr.chan, 17 Oct 2010buy c3 its awesome phone with wifi..dont ever go for 5233 w Well that seems to be the only benifit of C3. Too bad C3 doesn't have a 3.2inch hi res display, a proper OS and an application platform, 128mb RAM and a 434MHz processor. And most important of all, what good is a phone without proper multitasking. As of now S40 doesn't support even basic multitasking.
