It can also be improved by replacing old screen guard(if it has too many scratches) with newer one.
Sbdevilmind, 13 Oct 2010First, i would like to assure you that nokia 5233 is much better a phone than 5310. Please pos... moreIt seems the phone is pretty good. Only 2 issues:
1)The low volume of loudspeaker - I've changed the settings to make the vol. level almost to the max. with loudness ON etc. Any other way to increase the vol., as the ringtone of incoming calls sounds low? This phone is not meant for listening music through the loudspeakers, while using headphones with "line-out" option - it sounds good.
2)Very poor visibility of the screen while using outdoors direct under sunlight. Any way to make the screen a bit visible so that one can know check before accepting an incoming call or while making calls?

5530 xpress musica, 15 Oct 20105800's advantage over the classy 5530, tv out, 3G which i let my pc do the talkin...but 5530 ... morebut pc cannot compensate for the corbys small screen and weak battery life..again.you have started to use filthy language.....i hope you get enough strong someday to accept the truth nokia 5800 is far better than ur corby wifi...thanx buddy..
[deleted post]5800's advantage over the classy 5530, tv out, 3G which i let my pc do the talkin...but 5530 has stylish metal casing, solid slim very nice to hold, convinience in the pockets. Unlike the bulky ones and too long that fills like a brick in the pockets.
Wondering if someone who has the 5233 and is a pretty tech savvy person (admin) can contact me about a test I need to have run on this phone. I can compensate. If anyone who doesn't want their 5233 and would like to send it to me, I can arrange that as well. I very much appreciate your assistance. It must be this version of Nokia 5233 with service enabled. Thanks Freddy

Anyways, This is what company's claims is like. After full recharge.... 33hrs music playback on default music player, using default headsets with moderate volume level. Phone must be in offline mode and left virtually untouched. Also, no programs should be running in the background.

I had bought nokia 5233 5months ago. As the company said tat ht will provide 33hrs of music play but it is not giving that much. Its giving only 10hrs on offline mode. Wat to do. Please reply as soon as possible. Tanx

[deleted post]yeah!! thank you bro what u said was quite true...i have forgotten my what I intended to...in brawling with that walkman/wannabe..thank you for showing your concern towards me...when i first saw his posts although i own a nokia 5800,i felt.like he.is just tryin' to overpower 5233 users but from now on none of.his post will go unreported...thank you bro!! you r indeed making this forum a better place..but i spolt this place a bit by posting off topic things...SO SORRY...!!
Hi guys.. The new Ovi store is really fighting it's way through. May not be the biggest app store but sure has a lot of new additions espacially when considering 70% of the listed apps are quite useful. Just now downloaded Nokia international Radio app on my 5233. It's an internet radio receiver that works equally as well on the limited EDGE bandwidth. The no of available stations are staggeing numbering to morethan 50k. Atleast 3000 stations are available for Rock music alone. the ui is simple and more intuitive than tune wiki. The best part is that it is evn integrated with nokia's music store so you can buy the music you like. if you have unlimited subscription, well and good...
Can anyone tell me that nokia 5233 has a good speaker or it has a bad speaker so that i can choice to buy it because in crowdy places such as markets if it has a good loud speker then i can hear the ringtone.

soon we'll be having phones having 32 inches screen..
and will be carrying them in a special luggage bag like laptops..
[deleted post]i do own a nokia 5800 what i meant was that ur device doesnt.have dual leds and even if it had it doesnt change the whole story that is its cheaper and not comparable to nokia 5800.nokia 5800 has best sound quality and it has 3G and a-gps which urs doesn't and yeah in previous posts i may have written that it must have made u feel that i own a nokia 5233 but dont remain under that impression that was just to make my self.compatible with nokia 5233 forum and above all i m not jealoua of ur phones metal ring and weak battery and poor camera and no to mention the 2,9in screen...in fact nobody would be jealous of that ugly phone even corby would win over it when it comes to looks..go get urself a corby wifi or samsung champ....nokia 5230 would beat the crap out of ur phone...and next time dont use filthy language otherwise i will report about ur abusive language to gsmarena moderators..get it,right?
[deleted post]once again u have summoned me...nokia 5530 although a good phone but doesn't have metal casing in the first place then comes the weak battery and after that comes a 3mpx camera although ok but rendered it useless with the lack of flash leds...nokia 5530 is aphone which is quite comparable to a samsung corby and samsung monte but not even close to a nokia 5580 and the most important thing who the hell told you that i own nokia 5233 i am a proud owner of.nokia 5800..now i m looking onto getting an n8..and in no way is nokia 5800 comparable to a nokia 5530 coz 5530 has only a 2.9in screen camera w/o leds wifi but without appropriate battery life and no 3G and no GPS at all why the hell u just bought that metal ring...without any luster...u should trade off ur house along with the goats and get one nokia 5800 or n97 but they are just too advanced for ur ant sized brains...hope you get the point and if u don't get it then jump off somewhere along with your cattles...all in all nokia 5530 is corby wifi with symbian os..2.9in lollllll..
