Dear all friends,
Here is the link to my facebook photos... (New album for the recently installed software in my 5530 Xpress Music)
Have a look guys...
I just found this wonderful application...
"Windows 7 GUI" on your mobile...
This works great in 5530 and you'll feel you're using a hand held computer which Windows 7 OS has been installed..!
Start menu, menu buttons, Desktop icons, desktop side bar (clock & calendar) all are working perfectly...!
Here is the www.dotsis.com link for the particular software... (Your 5530 should be hacked before installation... I don't have to say that... Right..?)
I will give you the link to my facebook photos once I uploaded the screen shots of newly installed software... Good luck mates...
Yamato, 06 Feb 2010Nuwan will the symbian^3 be available in our phones?Dear Yamato,
I really don't know man... I think you meant Symbian 2 right..? Because we've got Symbian 1 in our 5530s and we should be looking for Symbian 2 then..
However this totally depends on Nokia... We have to wait and see whether Nokia wants to continue with old Symbian plat form or upgrade it to Symbian 2 by a new firmware version or something...

Thanks a lot for both of your replies...
Now I know 5530 and 5800 touch sensitive layers are different hardware so that 5530 should be better what so ever...!
As Cyber-shot under dog says, even if the touch screen sensitivity could be tweaked in 5800, that means, 5530 should be able to tweak even better as it has better hardware...!
Sairam, 05 Feb 2010Does it has video calling feature? Think there is secondary camera.
It supports video calling but it doesn't have a secondary camera... So you will ask 'How can I make video calls then...?'
OK.. It's like this... You can see your friend and your friend can't see you... So it's kind of like 'One way video calling'.
To have that feature, install the third party software called 'fring' (you can find it easily by a google search) and log in to your 'skype' account via fring. (I assume you already have one. If you don't, create one; it's free.)
Now you'll see the online friends in your skype account, you can make video calls (like I said, one way video calls... Then can only hear your voice...) if your friends are with skype online at the moment...
Hope this will help...
Note: If you meant about 3G video calling where you can make phone calls through your mobile service providers 3G connectivity, then 5530 is not capable of doing that as it doesn't have 3G.

An overall hike in sensitivity than the original cannot be improved just with a tweak in the firmware.

Yeah this phone is AWESOME..
the answer to your question is that...
.open your music player
.there 'll be an option saying refresh library
.click on it and wait for few min, it will show how much new songs you have and add to your library, do this whenever you copy songs in your mobile! ;D
Nuwan, 05 Feb 2010Dear Luisito, Cyber-shot under dog, Kkkabirkkk or anyone who know better,
There are so many... moreyeah they have different hardware, with the 5530 in the v40 I believed the guys from Nokia "configured" or tweak the UI to be more sensitive (example for some touch screen panels you can configure or adjust the sensitivity from the panels but it might eat more power)
Partial Kinetic scrolling must be the limited kinetic scrolling we're experiencing (a.k.a no kinetic scrolling through the main menu)
i have this phone for a month now. and its the BEST! although the speakers aren't that loud, i find this phone very great.
but i have a question..
how will my mp3s go in the music library?
i can't find some of my music in the music library or the gallery, however its in the file manager. so how can i transfer it there? please answer. anyone?

Thanks for your reply... If I have understood properly, I think you've misinterpreted what I've said... I meant this.
5800 screen looks darker when it's switched off.
5530 screen looks gray when it's switched off.
Remove the batteries of both phones and then have a look on both screens...
You will clearly see the difference..
I don't know why they're different but I guess it's because of the different touch sensing layers both phones have... (Just a guess...)
Could anyone please confirm or deny this...?
