i like this phone very much but i am planning to goto australia..so i am going with 5800....when 5800 comes to the market their were some problems in its operating system .....so plz tell me is that problems are their or nokia correct it....?
i think nokia india sales persons are reading opinions in these forums so that they get an idea how much they shud price 5530. They r taking a long time to decide. Hope the price is under 12.5k rs.
ramesh, 29 Aug 2009ok so if we consider this 5530 will cost 14.5k but with some discount it will come around 13.5... morei will only buy this when the prices are below 12k it does not deserve more than that,at current price it is a waste of money
Anonymous, 29 Aug 2009today i asked nokia priority in delhi and it told that the phone will be available after next ... moreok so if we consider this 5530 will cost 14.5k but with some discount it will come around 13.5-14k.
but i think since its just launched the prices are supposed to be high but should come down in 1 or 2 months to acceptable limits
today i asked nokia priority in delhi and it told that the phone will be available after next week but about the price he told it will be launced at 13.9+taxes but we should get it a little lesser than that he didnt say how much.so just waiting
Before giving big lecture about resistiv & capacitive screen do some homework first.............
Tell some full touch screen phones except apple & lg arena using capacitive sceen...
The fact is most of the touchscreen phone manufacturer go with resistive touch coz u can hande it with more perfection........
In capacitive u cannot able to use stylus....only finger tip which can be annoying sometime..........
I feel resistive touch is better may be it requires little extra effort to press...
i really like to have this cellphone..it looks cool..i hope my father would by this for me
eshaan, 28 Aug 2009Exactly what im saying. Nokia seem to be pricing he 5530 rather highBecause it just came out. It's normal for it to have a high price when it comes out. Wait for a while and you'll see the price drop.
Ahmet, 28 Aug 2009If we compare Nokia's full touchscreen phones to other, you will see that Nokia is a little ch... moreSo? You can use gloves, stylus, anything, instead of being limited to using just your finger.
And you don't have to press that hard. Yes I've played with an Iphone but really, it's not all that different.
If we compare Nokia's full touchscreen phones to other, you will see that Nokia is a little cheaper. This is because of its resistive touchscreen. Resistive touchscreens are not good. You must press your finger hard so that the screen can recognize your touch. Resistive touchscreen are cheap to produce; this makes the phone cheap but unuseful. On the other hand capactive touchscreen is much better like in Iphones. A little touch is enough for a click. I offer you to test this kind of phones before you buy.
this is not worth more than 11k but you will have to wait for 2-3 months for that price to come
It new & launched
When 5800 was launched it was priced 19-20 which i wil say was 2 hight 4 the bugged & bulky phone .
thanks for replying so actually i think it will be better to go for larger screen considering feature wise after looking at specs 5800 has 3.2" screen and all that n79 has only the cam is less 3.2mp+i get 8gb card also so i think its better for me to add 2k and get 5800.5530 lacks many features but is priced higher as of now.i think will wait and see for some price drop and then buy.
tini, 28 Aug 2009guys need your suggestion here i am confused b/t n79 and 5530 as both are almost same price i ... morego gor 5530 its de best fone after awll
but if u need a 5 MP,Carl Zeiss cam den n79
I just was 5530 review on phone arena website in the conclusion it is written:
"The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is not only a capable Symbian S60 5th Edition based smartphone, but a pretty good multimedia-oriented handset as well. The thing is we don´t believe it's worth the money Nokia's asking for it. It comes with a steep price tag, especially considering that its elder sibling, the 5800 XpressMusic, is available at virtually the same price, while delivering larger screen, GPS functionality and 3G connectivity. That's why we would rather advice you to hold up on your purchase and wait until its price gets more reasonable. Alternatively, just get the 5800 XpressMusic. It offers superior functionality and better bang for your hard-earner buck."
tini, 28 Aug 2009guys need your suggestion here i am confused b/t n79 and 5530 as both are almost same price i ... morefor reading ebooks its better to have larger screen 2.9" or more so that you dont have to scroll all the time.
guys need your suggestion here i am confused b/t n79 and 5530 as both are almost same price i prefer n79 as it is feature packed but it has only 2.4" screen while this one has 2.9"screen so will that .5" extra screen is going to cause much difference in viewing the webpages, reading ebooks and wathing videos or 2.4"is just sufficient.please advice as i will be buying phone next week
