hi guys today i found a new application for our cute 5700 it is answering machine.i found it in nokia UAE -E65 SUPPORT PAGE.to add it blocks unwanted calls also.it is supplied by nokia so it is reliable.it works fine in my 5700.it is called mobie genie.if u find it useful appreciate me.enjoy.
very very cool mobile. i got a black. gr8 na... its working- good, clarity- unbeaten, camera enough ma. no hanging problem, long live battery, design, options, pakka vedios everthing is lovely. but it is not possible to change its pannal, no protection cover and the gr8 drawback is its sound volume is very low, it is not rocking by its sound and its head set. head setz life is only 7 to 12 months. but else are good.
confirmed! Nokia 5700 supports 8GB microSDHC cards! my cousin is using a SanDisk microSDHC card in his 5700 with firmware 3.83.1 RM-230
ei, did u get ur sexy sadie alert tones from my blog? haha ;)
nothin peculiar really.. though, as wat my xperience tells me n d fact dat its been a while since d last model was announced and i think its time for d next symbian powered youth oriented music centric device (probably we're lookin out for another XpressMusic twister, but i can be wrong [hope not]) to be announced which usually appears every year, plus d clues nokia hav been givin out lyk limited availability of 5700 in some regions and omitted product pages from europe.nokia.com/5700 gives me an impression dat nokia is indeed preparing d nextGen XpressMusic for us! yeah!
hope dat most of my checklist hereunder gets tick marked! nwey, re 8GB microSDHC on 5700, yah it's confirmed but i do need to get my cousins firmware version first juz to b concrete sure. w8 lang ha? il txt him.. BRB in a jiffy
Teka, wait, viperkid. I think you must've answered my question, nagkakasabay lang tayo dito sa website.
So you are confirming that 5700 can hold up to 8GB of microSDHC?

What do you mean, viperkid? If you say 5700's successor, does it mean are we expecting another Nokia 'twister' in the works?
Oh man, oh man, I'm so impressed by this phone. Since June ko pa gamit to and it never failed me (well, at least once, but it was fixed). I use a 4GB microSDHC and it's almost full.
And speaking of 'full', would this 5700 be compatible with larger capacity microSDHC's? Say, 8GB? Will firmware update help it? Mine's version 3.83 and I'm not sure what's the latest. Others here in this forum mentioned there's 4.21. But again, I'm not so sure.
And even with the announcement of newer handsets in the recent GSMA, I'd say I'll stick with my 5700. At least up 'til Christmas this year.
oh yah, 5700 supports 4gb microSDHC cards!
btw, this phone also supports 8GB microSDHC! my cousin owns this great phone too and only hav remaining 2GB++ free memory left. i asked if it slowed down d phone, he replied, nope, it works juz like u only had a 4GB microSDHC installed!
oo nga. kya ask for me, i dont wanna engage into those kind of stuff of deliberately bashing, dissing out n to comment lyk 'dis phone is rubbish et al' as much as i can.
i think helpin out (as wat my kabayan ash said a while ago) each other s one of d main reasons y forums lyk dis r still in existence than putting up a fight against loyal fanboys n gals.. =)
patiently w8ng for 5700's successor. nokia wen r u announcing it nwey? err.. i hop u do in d upcomin CeBIT exhibit next month!
if u r talkin bout Nokia video manager, here's d link:

Kabayan! I stay at Pasay. Proud 5700 user. First time I heard sound from its speakers (when I was checking out the unit at a store), I was very amazed and couldn't hide it. When the saleslady saw my reaction, she may have realized she'd have 1 less unit to sell afterwards.
Thanks for replying mga katoto! (earlshady and 1sexybeast, also regards to viperkid and to the others)
Actually I'm from Cainta, Rizal. I'm using the 'Manila' part to connote that I'm a Filipino.
To meow and 1sexybeast:
In fact is possible to change the 5700 covers. But for that youŽll need some screw drivers or take your 5700 to a cell phone repair shop or Nokia care center. IŽm telling you this because I have found on ebay some interesting colors like: red, black, green and blue (I think the last one is generic) and the sales package includes the tools needed for such replacement. I have never bought one of these items but I think they are reliable.
Greetings for all the 5700 owners
I totally agree with what VIP_blast said about 5700 sound - specially through speakers. Crystal clear & distinct. I am afraid NOKIA has not developed market for such a good phone. People are afraid about its twisting. But I haven't found any problem except that camera sometimes is a bit slow to response. A bit more RAM around 25 mb would have been better. Smartphones are bound to hang, occassionally restart more so if you load it with thirdparty applications/ games etc. Afterall PCs with Windows still hangs.
What??....I know that there are only 3 colours: red, black and Kaki green.....I have the kaki green one...never heard that there was a grey one too...
i heard that it's possible to change the cover of 5700, but i havent tried it yet. actually 5700 is available in 3 colors.. red, black and gray. for those peeps who have the gray one.. lucky u. hehe..
@ashes of manila
im from the philippines as well. rizal. =)
@luis, thanks:) i think i'd rather buy 5700 because it's newer. but n73 is also very attractive:)
oh, and one more question: is it possible to change the colour covers? i mean that if i have a red one, can i change it into a grey one:D?
