@luis, thanks:) i think i'd rather buy 5700 because it's newer. but n73 is also very attractive:)
oh, and one more question: is it possible to change the colour covers? i mean that if i have a red one, can i change it into a grey one:D?
what a pity that nokia is actually killing a great phone like 5700.just what it did to n91.i really like 5700 very much but couldnt find in my town.it is not available any more. is it true.all u nokia 5700 owner u r really lucky.
The sensor, is actually a motion sensor, present in only a few phones, like 5500, N95, N93i, N82 and so on...this enable use of apps like rotateMe, Nokmote, FlipSilent or ShutUp. Google these app if you don't know what they are. I have 5700 since August of last year, and everything is still perfect....any question, even about signing apps, don't hesitate to ask..I've learned everything about Symbian now, and I want to share my knowledge with you guys....cya...
Sanju predict like that because that is what the obvious market rule, whenever a new model comes older model rates go down.
But he did not mean that this will surly happen. It all depends on market and was just an obvious assumption.
Now days you may not found a single unit of 5700 in mostly shops also 5710 is not yet confermed by nokia officials, although they announce 4 new handset in recent past.
There is no idea whether 5700 continue to entertain with reduced rate or will stop now.
Addition to luis review,
Though quality of N73 images are definately better than thoose of 5700 but same does not hold true for video. CIF & QVGA resolutions are not differ enormously in size and both the phones are haveing same frame rate i.e. 15 F/sec.
For 5700 screen, its 16M color which make its screen looks crispy than N73.
One more thing is there in FP1, AutoKeypad Lock which was not there in N73(you can get this with 3rd party app though)
N73 has two processors for 220 Mhz, but still 5700 369Mhx processor performs better than that in almost situations.
I suggest that if its camera only than select N73, but if you want a fast product with few addon goodies & lacking night/indoor shot capability than its 5700 obviously.
You can also consider prices of both as n73 is coming at around 13K inr & 5700 in 11k Inr. You'll get 2gb card with N73ME & 512 with 5700 in India. So decide & enjoy.
google it & the first link is what you want. Although it was not from an oficial nokia website.
One addition to the review of 5700 by Vip_blast.
Keypad of this phone feel like WOW. Most of the Keys are big enough & provides a great soft response on click. This is a very important factor for heavy SMS users and for Game users too.
N73 keypad is the biggest down factor for a phone with such a class. Every one who owns a N73 should agreee with this.

By the way, any Pinoys/Pinays in this forum? How I would love to meet you kabayans!
This Nokia 5700 has been doing a lot for me. Though I have an iPod, nothing really beats the mobile phone/music player combination this handset offers. I've had this since June 2007. I would say it's the best! So far...
Stop those bashing, it's just kidstuff. Those arguments as to who's better is getting pointless.
It's always ok to criticize, give feedback, comment, cite thoughts. But deliberately arguing is a big no-no here in this forum and in this site.
Let's just help each other out. That's what this forum is meant for.
No more issues and so judgmental posts, ok?
And lastly, be factual and don't come up with fictitious stuff.
Thanks for your good comment, I love to compare phones and when people need help I try to help them when I can ;)
For me the 5700 is the best option as you said only the camera is inferior s n73 but isn´t a big issue for me cause I take pics very seldom.
Long life to 5700!!
hey guyz deos ne1 know whr to get NOKIA MULTIMEDIA CONVERTOR ????
if soo plz give me link !!!!
hehe good analysis luis. everything he said is true. As far as performance is concerned, i believe that 5700 is a very stable mobile. no lags whatsoever. even if u open 3-4 applications at the same time. the only advantage that n73 has over 5700 is indeed the camera. but even if i have n95, i wouldnt use camera that much, i wud still prefer digicam for pics.
@All people this forum
please dont say anything bad about SE, it breaks my heart and makes me want to throw my W850i in the bin !
so please dont Diss SE or say anything bad about SE
Peace Out !
SE and Nokia
No arguing after this Ok
I've used 5300, 5310, 5610, 6233, N73 and of course 5700...I'll tell you the advantages compared to them:
5300 - has no symbian, and soung is a bit noisy, and has only a 1.3mp camera.
5310 - no symbian, although new, camera sucks high, music on loudspeaker is very weak.
5610 - no symbian, and sound is noisy, the RDS radio is nice, but I bought 5700 for Music, so...
6233 - more louder, but really noisy as well, no symbian, camera is toy..
3250 - louder, highly noisy, small screen, older symbian version, difficult to get games and apps for.
N73 - better camera, louder speaker but noisy, an older symbian version, a bigger screen but TFT, 256K colors only...
My review of 5700: this phone is the best I've used. The Symbian OS 9.2 release 3.1 is so fast, it never lags. For those having reboot problems, just update your phone, and everything will be alright. THe camera is enough for me (I don't need carl zeiss or cybershot stuff). Music now: 5700 is magnificent. I've used every XpressMusic which is out, and a some Music Edition phones, but I've never had a phone witha crystal clear speaker as excellent as in 5700 (to te SE fans, I've used K750i, W550i). Screen is unbelievable (TFT 16M), too good to watch videos and movies (just watched American Pie 6 on Smartmovie, wonderful). Concerning apps and games, everthing works, except apps which need accelerators. Bluetooth connection is extremely fast, which is the same for internet connection.
The only drawbacks are absence of Wi-Fi and sensor. Everything else is perfect.
Sorry in the last comment about sound quality I mean that 5700 is louder and has clearer sound from the headphones than n73
To 1)meow and 2)SAUSAMA:
1) To decide between 5700 and n73 you need to decide what are you looking for:
-5700 is a newer phone
-Both n73 and 5700 have s60 software but 5700 has fp1 that means basically that there is repeated alarm clock and you can put more than 1 alarm; a 60 minute voice recorder vs 1 minute of n73 and a brand new music player (but n73 me has the same player than 5700).In my opinion 5700 is more wins in this department
-5700 has a 2mp camera with fixed focus and QVGA video recording vs n73 that has 3.2 mp camera with CIF video. I think everyone will coincide that n73 camera is better
-About music quality both phones are very good with n73 being a little bit more loud from spaekers than 5700, but the last has a more clear sound and you can hear the difference when you change an equalizer preset. From the headphones 5700 has more loud and clear sound than 5700 and has the advantage to include a more convenient solution of conection: 2.5mm and mini usb vs pop port of n73.
-The screen: I think n73 is better in this department because the size (0.2 inches larger) but the colors are more vivid in 5700 screen because there are the same pixel ammount as n73 but in less space so that results in better image quality.
-Battery: this could be a key decision to you. 5700 uses bp-5m type with 900 mah vs bp-6m that uses n73 with 1100 mah so in the last there are more power available but for me 5700 is ok. My battery lasts 2 days with heavy use (3 hours of music, 30 minutes of calls and like 20 sms).
-Form factor: It depends on your taste because n73 seems like a more business model while 5700 seems sporty and more minded as a music solution but 5700 has that almost unique feature of twistable body ( I have seen that only on 3250) and is very attractive. Don´t worry of that because it doesn´t get loose (I have more than a month and it feels like new).
-UI speed: 5700 has a more powerful processor (369 mhz vs 220mhz of n73) so you can surf on your menu and sections with almost no lags (it´s very odd that this happens)
The conclusion: If you prefer a music oriented mobile I reccomend you the 5700 (it has the plus that supports up to 4gb micro sd vs up to 2 gb mini sd of n73) but if you prefer the multimedia functions like camera or video the n73 is better.
2) 3250 is louder than 5700 but is a little diference. I heard both phones (I own a 5700) and the 5700 has clearer sound so has better music quality.
