@viperkid
You are wrong yet again!
SDHC, no matter what the size, will always support 4GB~32GB!!
It doesn't matter if it's miniSD or microSD! It is virtually possible to create a 32GB microSD card! There is no relevance with the size of the card and its storage capacity!
guys, is it really normal that 5300 is much louder than the 5700? because ive compared it to 5300.. and i think 5300 is louder.. uhuhuhu.. im still with 3.27 firmware..
will nokia release a new firmware to solve the torch problem? or is there any FREE programs available now?
Ryan -
there is a 5700 transformers edition but im not sure which countries its available in ...
wats the fuss about the nokia 5700 transformer edition!does it really exist or not?
to everyone who got the problem with the speed of this phone -
i don't think the 3rd party applications which are released gives u the correct processor speed of this phone ... although the 5700 xpress music can not be found on those software phone compatibility list ... the correct speed is 369 MHz if u like it or not ... if this phone got a lower speed processor than that how can this phone perform this much faster in its responding time with its os and applications ...
Hello viperkid,
can u please tell me the music quality thru
3rd Party headphone. Is there any Nokia 5700 Transformer Edition.

its known that availability of firmware depends on region, operator etc.I live in Bangladesh and want to update my firmware. How can i know if my firmware is available for my region?Besides if the nokia software update utility shows that a newer version of firmware is available, does that mean that this firmware is available and approved in my region?pls help me out.
- 35 MB of user memory
- 64 MB SDRAM, 128 MB ROM
- ARM 11, 369 MHz CPU
Has anyone found out the true processor speed of this phone. Its sure its neither 187mhz nor 192mhz. Also the softwares which are showning the speed is of the other processor, since it has 2 processors.
thito:
nope, not at all, its kinda vice versa. remember dat as time passes by, S60 phones wil b faster (juz like PCs) bcoz of better hardware (i.e. faster processors from 229mhz to 369mhz, bigger RAM, more optimized OS) and soon on most S60 phones, demand paging which helps alot in d d overall performance of d phone. also, consider all d reviews of 5700, all of em stated dat 5700 is one of d fastest symbian phone to date (some of em even said its faster than N95 in some cases) and some of d reviews mentioned dat d speed is almost d same as non symbian OS phones..
back to SDHC (uses FAT32), since dis is d new specification created by d SD association founded by Panasonic, SanDisk and Toshiba to address d ever increasing requirement of mobile storage, dey didn't juz stretched d capacity limit to more than 2GB (officially) but hav also pumped up both write and read speeds of data. meaning, SDHC cards are generally better in performance than normal sd cards and since it uses FAT32, even u hav maxed out d memory, it will stil b alot faster than normal SD cards

Hey friends
The new firmware is out in Nokia India site. Please review the firmware for us. Do it really bring any changes.
Itz joy stick is not good..i am not satisfied with this handset.
@ viperkid, well if it supports SDHC, i think it'll go slow as another typical symbian phone.
thanx,viper kid for ur info.really helped me a lot.now my confusions r gone.thanx again,bro.
Ryan:
ok, here's d official specs from nokia
http://europe.nokia.com/A4382129
it written therein dat 5700 supports up to 4GB microSD cards. in d other side, if u ask me, im pretty sure dat 5700 is or wil b compatible (by firmware update) with 8GB microSD cards. u see, 4GB cards r typically made with d new SD specification called microSDHC, so once a device supports such flash memory type, it means d phone is compatible theoretically up to 32GB cards (in case of full sized SD cards), 16GB miniSDHC and 8GB microSDHC respectively, which all utilizes d FAT file system.
i think the w960i is still better than this...,but best phone is the n95 8gb...full featured phone..
