i m very shoooockked to know dat its not having a pencil key.its price is expensive dan y it hadn't d feature of a pencil key......
yes u can but the images will be showen upside down lol but theres an photo editor u can change the views of photos and other stuff and edit em ... the phone is made specially to take landscape photos (after twisting) ...
would somebody plz tell me whether listening to songs on the default headphones would be satisfactory ( volume & quality wise) after tweaking with the equaliser settings. i currently have SE w700i...further i do not want to buy a separate set of headphones.
Thank you very much for your reply, I think you have answered most of my doubts.
Please can you also tell me if we can use the camera without twisting the twister part...
Once again Thank u very much.
Hi Everybody there,
I am a big FAN of Nokia,I am very impressed with the features of this phone(5700),But I have few doubts in my mind as:
1.The twister part of the phone gets loose after 2 to 3 months of Usage?
2.Can we enable the camera without using the twister?
Please if any one who is using this phone can help me out in taking a decision..
ya i heard those same complains from the people when i first tried to buy the 5700 but not from my best friends ... probably i heard that thing they lied saying that the twisting base is getting loose in the 5700 after a month and they lied saying that its the same with the nokia 3250 ... most of those complains had been done by people who never used the 5700 and the 3250 ... if 3250 is such a bad phone how can it still be in the market ...
only one friend of mine told me that nokia aint giving people bad products and lie about there products so he told me to buy it and see ... so i brought the 5700 and its being more than a month now nothing wrong went with it nothing happend to the twisting base or the joystick didnt give any trouble its working smoothly ... probably this is the best music phone i've got after giving up my n 73 me and other music phones specially i gave up s.e. i hated every s.e. phone after using it for a month or two cuz its the same phone firmware everyday even when u change the themes the menu icons wont change only the wallpaper and other few stuff ... its all about marketing ... u get less customer support from s.e. sites its like they wont reply to ur emails forever but nokia is doing a very good job ... its good that the nokia got its symbian series os to change the boring look u get from the phone menus everyday ... nokia 5700 is a smart phone with a fast symbian os (s60 3rd) and in its sound clarity its one of the best in music phones and the 16 m tft display is awesome for videos ...
also get to know that there are fake phones coming up from china with less quality and less functions and performance ... beleave me it says those chineese dudes have released a fake n 95 only for a half of a prize of an original n 95 ... its the same with s.e. samsung and other phone models so u should be careful ...
@ viperkid :
i don't think mobile-review is biased against Nokia & in favor of SE..i believe their reviews are fair..they make praises & criticisms to all phone makers..i read a lot of phone reviews such as mobile-review, gsmarena, phonearena, mobileburn to name a few..every review doesnt differ much..though i think phonearena is much more comprehensive because they test the phone's video player on how it plays different codecs (h.263/h.264) at different fps..and if there's one who is biased, i think it's you coz you're obviously a nokia fan..and you wont like criticisms against nokia phones like 5700..hey, im not a nokia hater, in fact im buying the 6120 classic soon which i think is a better phone than 5700..and by the way, it's not always on the headset..the phone's music player & its hardware support do make a big difference..
I was going to buy 5700,but suddenly few peoples starting blaming the swivelling bottom part.they said it is not good & reliable at all.within 2-3 months it will loosen in a worst way.Is it true?
If the base is poor should i go for it?
I need a smartphone with great music. Please suggest if any other phone is good.
i've a SE w700i ..but i'm thinking about buying 5700....i want to know if i listen through the bundled headphones would the music be good ( after tweaking the equaliser settings) ...i don't want to buy different headphones...please give your comments.
pls ignore my first and last sentence and accept my apology.. i guess i kinda like over reacted and heated wen i see UNTRUE facts. anyway, i can giv u d best equalizer setting for 5700 if u like. u know its a bit tricky at first. (my 3250 sounded amplified d low and not d bass frequency too before) but i know wat particular equalizer band to adjust to completely eliminate dat effect and just get d pumped up bass and not d low frequency. also, turning Bass Boost is not a good idea in XpressMusic models. equalizer adjustment is enough to reach excellent bass and treble and of course diapason. that s d reason y many reviewers thought that 3250 and 5700 has poor sound bcoz they didn't hav or maybe too lazy to play with d equalizer and other audio settings as well.
peace out =)
btw, samsung earphones cannot b compared to A4Tech (even unknown) and of course to Sennheiser earphones.
all i wanted to say is that XpressMusic's sound quality is at par and even better in some cases against SE walkman phones provided dat we use proper headsets and correct audio settings
ya and this is going out the the person with no name or id who said that nokia is running on symbian and it comes with nothing ...
it does come with more things than the s.e. phones which got almost the same kind of firmware and design in there phones with less support for applications ...
@ Kendel -
i don't think u can move installed softwares games etc. into the phone memory (after they are being installed in the phone) ... once they are installed they are done ... just like u installed some kind of a software for ur windows xp u should need to keep the installation (setup) files ... but u can move mp3s , videos and other movable stuff ...
For a price of 12000 indian rupees, this is the best phone you can get!!i took a research of 2 months because i wanted to buy a good phone this time and the best value for money because last time i bought a 11000rs LG based on their free offers and i was fucked up.
5700 phone has the best screen resolution 'cause of it's 16 million colors,i play my favourite serials like seinfeld in mp4 format and u can watch it in widescreen.
For those who have trouble with equaliser, the setting is only at menu>music player>options.u wont get it if u play music from gallery. In brief,
Advantages:Lots...great resolution screen like a tv,great quality music with 5 band equaliser,flashplayer,fast operation,solid body.the twisting body i thought will be unstable,but it's very reliable.
disadvantages:main thing...the charger slot has a flap,u have to open it each time to charge the phone, battery life good for normal and middle use but not for extreme users,i can play but two hrs videos but wish they increase it.
for any questions about 5700,mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.Overall i give this phone 9/10.But it is 110% value for money.
i know ur just making stories. i guess u dont know how to properly adjust equalizer settings. my cousin has W810 back then and i had 3250, default inbox earphones, W810 wins but when i plugged in d earbuds of W810, 3250 is d clear winner. d same bass and even more treble. so r u telling evrbody here dat 5700 has inferior sound quality?! i think no one will believe u.
i even tested a W810 with a full sized Sony headset (definitely 200% more expensive and higher quality than HPM-85, d result great bass but average treble. mind u dat my 8 dOl1ar A4Tech MK-620 outperforms HPM-85 and d high end headset Sony headset in overall quality..
i know a few friends and colleagues who hav SE walkman phones (i too had one but K750 only) but im not really impressed with their sound quality (most of d people r just blinded by the "MegaBass" "Sony" and "Walkman") trademarks. in reality "Walkman" in SE is NOT special and definitely DO NOT stand for "quality"
Megabass is just an equalizer band (120hz probably). remember wat GSMarena said about a high end W900 vs 5300? here it is:
"When we played one and the same song on the Nokia 5300 and a sample Sony Ericsson W900 which we had available at the time, the head-on competition was indeed lost by the Nokia 5300 when using the original headsets supplied with the respective phones. When we used a third-party full-size stereo headset on both mobiles, it turned out that they sound pretty much the same with no noticeable differences in quality or bass frequencies. That was the case though before we turned on the Walkman MegaBass preset which really made the W900 shine. But after playing a little bit with the manual equalizer on the Nokia 5300 we managed to achieve the same results by gradually gaining up the low and high frequencies."
so where's ur SE walkman's "megabass" or so-called "quality" u were saying?
Hey viperkid, so you dont really own the 5700 so you are assuming a lot of things.I have the 5700 for about 1 month and I confirm that the bass is crap although with Headfones SE HPM-85.Sound clarity is very very good but bass is crap.I tried the retail earfones with my Samsung mp3 player and its soo bassy. So the bass in 5700 is crap. The EQ only amplifies low and high frequencies but not bass. The N73/ME is very very crap for music.Music playback on 5700 is very good but those who are looking for super bass then go for n91.And also Eldar's reviews are accurate most of the time.5700 is over and above all nokias Ive tested for music playback except n91.Speakers are really impressive
I respect gsmarena's comment regarding the joystick. I believe it's just in the user. For me, it is not hard to use. I'm not even finding or feeling any inconveniences with the joystick. 5700 is a great buy, you won't regret.
Many thanks for your reply. Recently I'm going to buy a NOKIA 5700. Cause I like your reply.
