Someone sent me this method to identify the source of mobile phone assembly/manufacturing unit.
Type *#06# and press DIAL [green button]
After you enter the code you will see the IMEI code : 154526009564585 [sample number]
IF the Seventh & Eighth digit numbers are 02 or 20 that means it was assembled in Emirates, which is very Bad quality.
IF the Seventh & Eighth digit numbers are 08 or 80 that means it’s manufactured in Germany which is not bad
IF the Seventh & Eighth digit numbers are 01 or 10 that means it’s manufactured in Finland which is Good
IF the Seventh & Eighth digit numbers are 00 that means it was manufactured in original factory which is the best Mobile Quality …[bingo I have 00]
IF the Seventh & Eighth digit numbers are 13 that means it was Assembly on Azerbaijan which is very Bad quality and very dangerous for health!!!
This will help you to find out if the mobile is original or assembled one.Try it.

Hi guys,i've been using this phone from last 2 months or so and i have to say that i regret buying this phone and the reasons are:-not so good touch interface u need to press really hard open menu and browse through it;very mediocre camera considering the price tag it never looks like a 3.2 megapixel camera;awful sound in earphones considering this is a dedicated music phone;and lastly, not so good battery.
So think twice before buying this and take a look at n79.cheaper and much better.
I hope this will help.till next time.
You can use a recovery program to retrieve data and then install them back to your card..
I'm planning to get a touch screen phone or surfing purposes, documents editing..
I tried out the phone to surf the net but it seems it can't highlight text. My friend told me i can get softwares (also depends on the browser) that can copy and paste, and edit word documents for symbian touchscreen, is that true?
Windows mobile can copy selected text from the website and paste to documents, can this be done using Nokia 5800?
If it could be done then i'm getting 1.
