Anonymous, 21 May 2011that battery must be faultyHave you format it? See what applications you have in background. Check the S/N of battery on Nokia site, if is OK, reset phone (*#7370#/12345/back up first), update firm to 50 version and it will be OK.

i've been using 5800 for 18 months. I had series of problems in the first 3 or 4 months, then i had software update. After tat i dint face any noticeable problem. I'm a chronic user and i hear to music and text a lot. Battery life is not a prob coz i charge once a day. The only thing wat ppl find wrong wit this phone is it's size and resistive touchscreen. Symbian is not bad.
As far as i'm concerned, nokia 5800 is truly an iphone killer.

its very easy to identify a fake or an original nokia phone. here you go....
1.Press *#7780# the original one will want to revert factory setting and will ask you a code
2.Press*#06# and you will get a 15 digits serial number in an original nokia phone
3.Press *#92702689# and you will see the Life timer:
4.Press *#0000# and you will see the your phone version details
5.On the battery you will find a hologram showing nokia “connecting people” and 1,2,3, and 4 dots on each side.
