Anonymous, 27 Dec 2008I don't understand how the voting system on the left hand side of the home page has given this... morearey...the same voting system is applicable to i phone forum also...go and see ....how much it got in each category...please try to accept the truth. By the way in all ways 5800 is better than iphone...it may not be the best phone but obviously better than crap iphone.
I have tried in the net and collected some games and themes for 5800. Hope it will be useful to you all.I will keep on updating the file. If anyone got some applications and games etc which is compatible and tested , then please post the link here.
I don't understand how the voting system on the left hand side of the home page has given this better marks than the iPhone. I am an a IPhone user and I could not live without it! The design and perform are way better than anything Nokia could EVER make!
New York's Nokia Flagship store is selling the Eu version 5800xm for 350USD, one of the sales said NAM expect to come out in March.
I am so sick of USA always try to reinvent the wheel to have its own standard of every system yet have extremely slow process in approval of everything.
janus, 26 Dec 2008hi crige, u r doin wnderful job outa here.i hav a prob, plz help me,can u tel me hw to activat... moreHi Janus,
I'm not quiet sure on what your refering too but hopefully what I am about to say is what you are asking about.
Your asking how to activate the media bar under the power bars on the right of the mobile/cell.
Just so I have this right.. looking at the mobile facing you with the screen looking at you, on the right of the mobile/cell you have your video camera, below that is the XpressMusic media button then onto the screen now you have your powers bars for your battery indicator followed by the rest of the screen with the contacts and dialler buttons at the bottom of the screen.
I can only assume that when you mean "How to acticate the media bar" is that you are refering that on the home screen you can either have set as blank, with your 4 most important contacts or the media bar that shows and gives quick access to certain folders or applications. This is what I am assuming you are asking me how to activate.
As im going to assume this for now, I will advise on how below. Just follow the numbers.
1) Press on the menu key at the bottom, that is in between the green call and the red hang up buttom. The menu button is white.
2) On the next screen select "settings"
3) Then select "Personal"
4) Then you have 3 options, a) Profiles, b) Themes or c) Home Screen. Select "c", home screen
5) On the next screen, you are faced with a) Basic, b) Shortcuts Bar or c) Contacts Bar. Select "B" for Shortcuts bar.
**This will then put the shorts cuts media bar on your home screen under the battery bars and across the top of the home screen**
You can go back into these setiings and choose which short cuts you prefer to have selected on your home screen.
I have the feeling that the above may not be what you are asking, so I'm sorry if i am wrong.
Please explain a little more detail if I am wrong as on mine there isn't anymore bard options under the battery bars indicator that I can select.
moi, 26 Dec 2008To: everyones opinion especially CRAIG
>>is this a good phone other than the samsung TOCCO?... moreTo Moi,
I can't compare the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Mobile to the Samsung Tocco, specially as I've never had or used the Samsung and if I did, I wouldn't compare but provide you with my hands on experience. So sorry I can't assist you with the difference between the two.
The battery life on the Nokia 5800 is good,I use mine all day and it does last a while, depending on what type of usage and how you are using your mobile will determain on how long it will last you.
I wouldn't know if the Nokia 5800 is released in Saudi at the moment either, sorry about that. It's not even released here in Australia yet, I bought mine from overseas.
miss archi, 26 Dec 2008to craig
can i know plz from which place in uae u got ur 5800 xpress music
Hi Miss Archi,
Please read my response to Vicks as this indicates where I bought my model. Just saves me from repeating myself.
007, 26 Dec 2008Which is better n82 or 5800, and what is this LED flash?? Pls help Hi 007,
I had the Nokia N82 12 months ago and I now have the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Mobile phone.
I enjoyed the Nokia N82, it is a good mobile phone. I never had an issue with the one I had. What I liked most about the Nokia N82 was the fact that it has a Xenon flash, the flash gives you true tones when taking pics and it's the same flash they use in digital cameras. SE use the Xenon flash on there Cyber-shot ranges.
The N82 has a 5mp camera with the Xenon flash, where the 5800 has a 3.2mp camera with twin led flash. I personally like the Xenon flash but I'm not fussed with it when it comes to a mobile phone. I have a 8mp digital camera if I want to take pictures when I'm at parties etc.
The Nokia 5800 holds up to 16gb of memory while the N82 hold up to 8gb.
Ones a touch screen while the other is your standard candybar form with press buttons.
It's going to come down to what you personally like. Ask yourself these questions:
1) Do you want a good camera mobile with a good flash, if you say yes, then go the N82.
2) Do you want a lot of memory on your mobile, if yes go the Nokia 5800
3) Do you want a mobile that offers you a good camera, lots of memory, good web browsing and a touch screen, then go the Nokia 5800.
I personally and having had the N82 and now the Nokia 5800, my choice is the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Mobile as it's a great and easy mobile to use. The web browsing is amazing, the camera serves it purpose for me, the music player is good, I really love the touch screen feature and it holds a lot of memory. I have a thbousands songs in my Nokia 5800 and I sill have over 10gb of ememory remaining in my 16gb card. I also love the look and feel of the Nokia 5800 over the Nokia N82.
But 007, this is my opinions and my hands on experience in which I share with you to help you decide, but at the end of the day, you choose what best suits your needs in a mobile phone.
