PH OTEN, 19 Dec 2008is this available in the philippines? It will be widely available on January 2009 or within the 1st quarter of 2009. You can pre order the Nokia 5800 here in the Philippines. Check out the Nokia stores nearest you.
Hi everyone! Just bought one. It is really a great phone. I've used most of the topnotch brands, but this one is among the best. It's amazing for a first try by Nokia in the thriving business of touchscreen. I has also introduced more security features. You can lock the Sim and the Set itself by sending an sms to it. I know thieves are up to all kinds of tricks, but it will give them hours of frustration. Also, Nokia has been always good about text input. Their phones have all the European characters you need. Other phones mainly the Eastern brands haven't been good at that. They don't seem to care. Whereas, there are many Western languages where you need accents (German, French etc...) Samsung even ignores the fact that an apostrophe is one of the most used sign in English. You have to fish it from the symbol pad on a Samsung phone. Take care and cheers

I bought this phone a few days ago. Its kinda so-so phone for the price you pay. In my opinion, this phone does not worth more than $$250. The built quality is nokia trademark....cheap plasticy and looks also very cheap. I doubt about its durability. Touch screen is nowhere near iphone. Its same old symbian 60 3rd with touch function.
The only one thing i like about this phone is sound. Both from headphone & speaker, the sound quality is loud and good.
I think i will return this and get htc touch hd. One more thing, this phone suits more for teenagers than business users. It just looks kids toys...beilive me. I feel ashamed to use this phone in front of my friends.
Hey guys I just compared the audio quality of the 5800 with N81. I have to say the audio amplitude of N81 is much better than that for 5800. I am talking about the audio effects of the earphones not the loudspeaker....
it operates on symbian 9.4 os rite? Are the applications for this OS available in ample?
I Got A Nokia 5700 And I Gonna Change To This Phone....Hope GSMArena Review Soon....
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Hi Cynic,
I bought my 5800 off ebay Australia. It's not offically released in Australia as yet. My model I believe is a Asian release as the Nokia box is in Chinese writing but the mobile is alll in english.
I've had no issues with my Nokia 5800, it's a top mobile.. of wait I already said that before lol.
