nokia said india would be among the 7 countries to get the 5800 before next year. seem they didn't keep to their word(price tag given but phone not available in stores), i'm done waiting, will be getting something else.
i'm a big nokia fan though.
Oh and I forgot, the phone :S:S:S
The call quality is very good, way louder than a lot of the newer nokias, clear and working as it should. Can't comment yet on dropped calls but I'm not expecting too many problems :)
Just got this phone in Dubai from Virgin for 1440AED ($390). Its a great phone. Much smaller than I expected. Its shorter than my E51 although obviously a little wider and thicker. It doesn't feel like you've got an oversized phone. Fits well and comfortably in your pocket, light and practical to hold for phone calls. Overall, I'm delighted with the size and ergonomics. So far:
1- I've transferred all my contacts, notes, appointments, calendar entries and sms messages using phoneswitch and bluetooth. It was seamless, no problems whatsoever.
2- I've tried out the Wifi, very fast and the browser works great on the touchscreen. Webpage rendering is excellent. Youtube videos all work well.
3- As a music player it's excellent. The provided headphones are not bad if you aren't a power music user. If you are, well you probably have a dozen favorite headphones lying around anyway :D
4- The camera is very decent, I've only tried it in good light conditions indoor. No outdoor night pics yet.
5- The accelerometer works well, although it's a tiny bit too sensitive when playing games or walking around.
6- The onscreen keyboards are absolutely fantastic. The full size qwerty is terrific, i've already gotten used to it and I'm typing at very good speeds. The mini qwerty is nowhere near as hard as it looks. It also works very well. Handwriting recognition took some getting used to but I can see myself using it as well.
7- The touchscreen itself is very responsive. At first it's a little confusing whether to tap once or double tap but I've gotten used to it and I've realized that it's not random. There is some sense behind it!
8- The fm radio is standard nokia. Good but not quite as sensitive as sony ericsson. Does the job though.
9- The UI is very responsive, no freezing so far, everything works as it should.
10- One glitch with the OS, it's not allowing me to add anniversaries or birthdays to my contacts. The fields are there but when I try to add them it sends me back to the menu...what the hell? Wait for a firmware update i guess.
11- The backcover feels like it may break if you keep fiddling with it (opening and closing the back of the phone) but given that both the micro sd and the sim slots are on the side, we probably won't need to open it too often.
I'll post more when I have a more extensive experience to share :).

I got this phone today. Its kinda so-so. It's same old symbian 60 3rd with touch function. As far as touch interface is concern, it is nowhere close to iphone. Built quality is typical nokia.....i mean cheap looking plasticy. I am pissed off for the money I paid for this crap. If it were 200-300dl, i'd not be complaining here.
