What I saw from these videos, its UI and case width were designed to be operated with one hand, except for the full qwerty keyboard.
I think Nokia will sell it for just 279 Euros as promised, but while the demand be bigger than the offer, resellers (not Nokia) will push the prices higher. So, if you don't want pay more for it, you must wait some months. Maybe it is available worldwide until Christmas, unless Nokia didn't put it already into the production line.
Guys, nokia and iphone are not the same, even hardware and software is different from each other, but as a phone for everyday use and easy operating system that you can do with nokia 5800 much more than wot you can do with ordinary computer, so forget iphone, the nokia is unique system that this time is kicking lot of ass, of course the iphone crap to, so!
I have see also the LG dare, it have a nice configurations but the system is only that, that you have to take software from other phones if it works to use with it, and that means the phone is goon to be very sun as a junk, because no OS on it!
i Need a professional person to tell me if it supports Arabic Language or not thanks.
Anonymous, 23 Nov 2008The 5800 isn't multitouch.
There is only one multitouch phone and that's the iPhone. We don't want symbian devices like nokia to be kind of two hand operating crap, nokia always was a single hand and easy operating system on your palm of your hand!
So iphone freaks go leak your phone, and drink your stinking beer aple have supply your iphone with!
Anonymous, 23 Nov 2008The 5800 isn't multitouch. There is only one multitouch phone and that's the iPhone. You are wrong, there is meizu greater and multitouch screen!
The new prada phone has multi touch screen.
Anyway I tought that this was the Nokia 5800xm forum.
TO me it looks like an iphone forum.
Lets please talk about the device thanks.
Its taking so long to get it released like secret weapon of Luftwafa
Why must evry touch screen phone be compared to the iPhone? The iPhone is just a over hyped piece of fruit. The iPhone wasn't the 1st touch screen phone. We don't say that all flip or slide up phones are copies of other phones so why do we do that with touch screen phones?
PS: GSMARENA please do a Preview on this phone.
It's having a gud specification, i'm waiting to be in UAE market.... Very much greed to know what 'll b.. with a new touch screen..... wow.....
clientelle, 23 Nov 2008i have always thought this phone will be released this november or last october...but still i ... moreIt's not out yet, you would have seen that if u had looked on this page/googled it. What review ?!?! A review is written AFTER the phone is released .. BEFORE = PREview ; AFTER = REVIEW (dooh!)
This is the most amazing piece of kit I've ever lay my hands on. It's worth every penny. Probably no other device manages to pack so much useful features in one device: 3G mobile telephony, powerful PDA, GPS. Very good at multitasking. My only complaint is the fact that the screen has a 2mm unused black border all around. However, ALL devices with square screen I've seen so far have this nuisance (e.g. Palm Treo 750, HP iPaq 6915 & 6515) so it's not just this device, which means there must be a purpose for it. But I don't mind that at all. Great device in every aspect. Also, less chunky than the picture would lead you to believe

Heck! Alcatel had a touchscreen phone back in the day... The Alcatel OT COM. Marvelous little piece of hardware for its time.
But enough about the past, let's look to the future! When is this one going to become available in Romania? People from a nokia shop told me that it's going to be some time in April 2009...That can't be right, can it?
