- the 5800 can reads arabic sms / but till now the virtual keyboard does not support the arabic language (no arabic characters on the keyboard)... Nokia is finding a solution for this, and it might be available before its launch in the market hopefully.

Anonymous, 18 Nov 2008http://wimkhan.wordpress.com/2008/11/05/nokia-5800-xpressmusic-price-and-availability-in-indon... moreNot prototype, but China's version!
They got regulation on WiFi and 3g not yet adopted there. They're also smuggle things easily..
for your knowledge, NEVER EVER buy Nokia 5800 other than Nokia authorized reseller! Most of the people trying to take advantage of this kind of hype by selling fake 5800!
Most of these 'guys' are smuggling Nokia 5800 from China, in which China prototype has no WiFi and 3G!
Just be careful and wait for its official release and availability dates!
Also, Spain is selling very very expensive nokia 5800 for such a preorder..
what's great on this phone is some of its features exceeded iphone's specs, like the 3.2mp carl-zeiss camera for example (well if you're a photo-freak, then dont rely on camera phones. instead buy a high-end digital camera).. another thing is you dont need 'NokTunes' (coz iPhone has 'iTunes' w/ kinda hassle.. hehe.) when you're transferring music, etc. to and from ur pc, w/c kinda li'l bit comfy..
iPhone has more elegant design (well 5800xm's kinda sleek and stylish too), and prior to its UI, iPhone's very 'cool' to use. but we all know that Nokia phones in general have a 'user-friendly' interface, giving the 5800xm a step forward for most people (yeah, try to give a Nokia phone to a 4-yr old kid and he can learn to navigate the phone by himself in no time.. alam nyo yan mga pinoy.^^).
somehow, 5800xm can be called as the iPhone 'rival' since some if its specs have matched (5800xm has also a multitouch screen), few were 'almost', and some have exceeded iPhone's.
above all, phones become handy and cool depending on one's lifestyle.. peeps who generally use English language better have an iPhone since it has predictive texting.. also the qwerty keypad, w/c 5800xm also has (but i dont like using iPhone coz its hard to use it when im texting).. but if you're into an alphaneumeric keypad.. 5800xm would be advisable for you..
HAIL TO THE TEXTING CAPITAL OF THE WORLD! HAHAHA!^_^
btw, the 5800xm is kinda more affordable (not cheap.. y'know what i mean.) than the iPhone. what's great w/ Nokia is they consider one's state of living.. they just dont make a phone and sell it like its raining money (naman, naghihirap na nga mundo, bibili ka pa ng iPhone 3G na kasing presyo ng laptop!? baka ikapahamak pa ng buhay mo yan eh, diba mga holdaper?^^). and Apple thinks that an iPhone is exceptional, not knowing that the reason behind that is because the item is way too expensive for a phone, not because of the specs! imagine (just imagine because this wont ever happen), an iPhone and a 5800xm having the same price. believe me, most of the people will buy the one that has more features and user-friendly..
considering our worldwide economy, its totally not practial to buy a phone way too expensive.. unless if you're Richie Rich' aborted twin..
and that makes a 5800xm definitely an 'iPhone killer' - more features w/ less price.
subukan mong kumontra, pakainin kita ng iPhone.^^
