hi ABBy....its very common problem in all nokia mobiles......solution is change the memory PHONE to EXTERNaL CARD...........in message settings goto OTHER option and chage ur settins for make ur msgs better....

If u dont use 3g go for 5233 but volume will be low for 5233. Rest everything is better than 5800

just do a hard reset.
Settings>phone>phone managemet>factory settings.
Or
in the idle screen press *#7370#.It will prompt you to a dialogue box.Press yes.
Or
switch off your 5800.Press red button,green button and camera button alltogether and switch on the phone by keeping those buttons pressed.
Before these all dont forget to backup your data first.Cheers

hi guys, i am using my 5800 for the last 6 months,no problems wat so ever.i must say nokia has put everything in this little device.
superb sound,great camera etc etc. this the best phone nokia has ever produced, if someone wants to buy a cell phone with great features and less price, he should go for this one.

now trying the opera mobile 11 on my 5800. its looks and feels great...but watch it guys cos opera mobile 11 consumed lots of rams.. so dont blame your 5800 if it restarts or closing other apps....
i think opera mini 6 is more suitable for xm5800..

I would stay far away from the 5800. After less than a year, the touch-screen has become very unpredicatable, and only responds sometimes. It's very frustrating and unreliable.

Im Using a Nokia 5800 music edition that i got from the UK (along with the 3 service provider)& is unlocked, now using it in India. s/w is V 40.0.005. i am searching for an update but none is available while checking for h/s updates using the phone...(does any one no why).....is it possible to reflash the software with the generic software which comes with the 5800 launched in india & if possible then HOW???.... please assist as im unhappy with the way the h/s is performing currently...PLEASE HELP
