                        braun, 21 Jan 2011thnx for explaining,so is c6 better than 5800xm?and 5800xm posseses problems,wht r they?for me the advantage of c6 over 5800 are:
1)5mp cam is better (i've tried it)
2)240mb internal memory an added value
3)homescreen is more attractive, u can add more widgets

                        disadvantage againts 5800
-its a mono speaker if im not mistaken but solved that by finding yourself a decent pair of ear phone for a stereo sound
-lower batt capacity..maybe u got to buy extra batt or a portable charger
-i dont favour a sliding phone cos i fear the slider would become loose over the years..well im not about c6 cos i dont own one lol

why i dont buy c6 becos the disadvantages but most important are:
                        -simply i've already got 5800 b4 c6 being launch
-the os, ram & processor is the same with 5800,n97,n97 mini

well the experience is best to be told by the users of c6 itself...

for me...after v50 update i already got c6 and x6 in my 5800 accept the capasitive screen, homescreen and the cam of course..

problems? used it since sept 2009 so far everything r okay alhamdulillah...the batt ok for about 48hrs ,the touchscreen, the hardware ( body, buttons, screen) ,software so far so good....

but i got to admit 5800 an old horse but still able to deliver lot of things

for u my friend... if u prefer a physical keyboard then go for c6 anyway its your call...

my next phone is n8 or at least c7

                        cheers...

Anonymous, 21 Jan 2011i agree with the stylus part it becomes loose and starts to fall ....well actually mine too...so i paste a little loytape at that small flat place before the entrance of the stylus and walla the stylus become tight again and doesnt' fall off anymore...
anyway the stylus is too small for me so usually i use a short pencil as my stylus or any ballpoint pen (ink dried of course)as my stylus (u need to improvised it a bit)well who cares....most important is i m happy with my 5800.. that matters the most cheers

Anonymous, 21 Jan 2011Can any1 help me..please? On my 5800 the phone memory is too low..I mean TOO low...only 1MB... morehi there...

perhaps u r having too many sms,mms or files received by bluetooth saved in your C: drive?

dont download all updated software available accept if u realy need such the fw update itself..for your info i havent update to ovi maps v3.6 yet still using the outdated map v3.04 he he he well its okay for me...

delete apps that thats not really useful... for example i dont use "mail for exchange" so i just removed it and freed 1mb ( i can download it back thru ovi store anyway)

this week i managed to free my about 9mb on my C: drive by using "SWISS MANAGER PRO". currently my c drive has 38.1mb available memory...so i'm more ready to download ovi maps v3.6 (oops this will eat back 9mb of my phone memory)

the real culprit is the flash contents ie a hidden folder in your c: drive... every time your phone surf the net maybe due to certain setting your phone will store the thumbnail pic in side a hidden folder in your c: drive..
u cant erase this cos it dont showed in your built in file manager.

so.... you got to have 3rd party file manger that enable u to see the hidden folder/data/thumbnail etc...
give these few a try to find which suite u best...xplore, swiss manager pro,y task

make backup of your phone before deleting anything
so u can recover file back in case you wrongly deleted any phone system data...cheers.......

braun, 21 Jan 2011plz tell me whtz the function of ram in phones?what and how does it effect in phone?RAM (Random-Access Memory)
This is the memory where the software resides while it is running along with the data it is using. RAM is used by both OS and application software.
RAM is very fast but volatile, meaning that all information is lost when electric power is cut off. That makes it useful for temporary storage of data that requires fast access.
Normally, devices with RAM also have another type of storage memory (flash memory or a hard drive) that stores the information while the power is off.
Devices with more RAM can run more complex software and multiple applications at the same time.

.... difficult to understand?? just focus on the last sentence..

firstly...when your phone RAM is low your phone its will automatically shutdown other opened apps to make way for more memory for the present app your r opening.

or.. your phone will restart....or lastly your phone will hang and u got to pull out the batt ha ha ha...
SO thats why a lot of guys get pissed off cos their 5800 hang and restarts...

so what to do? for me i install 3rd party task manager ie BEST TASKMAN & SWISS MANAGER PRO google it for info or visit gsmarena software

i think the other userS here is using XPLORE, HANDY TASKMAN, JBAK TASKMAN maybe RAMBLOW too...well there r lots of it..

then to further stabilized the RAM i'm using MEMORY UP PRO.. with all these apps my phone click a record of doesnt restart or hang for about ten days..

maybe other phone with higher RAM (256mn/512mb/1gb RAM) maynot need this type of RAM management... well the 5800 was produce in 2008 and if it uses a 256 ram maybe lots of guys r not going to buy it ha ha ha..

but if this 5800 was manufactured with a 256RAM, 5mp cam and an internal memory of 512mb to 1gb.. it will be a stiff competitor to new c7 and c6-01

.. dont just download games and themes...there a more apps (than apps that fart) that will uncover the hidden potential of your xm5800..
thats why xm5800 get total hits of 14,123,500++

                                      cheers...
