Hello. I've been using a Nokia 5800XM for almost a year, but in the last few weeks I realized that my phone's battery life-time drastically decreased. Before, I was talking aproximately 2.5 hours/day and sending almost 100 sms'/day and the life-time battery was almost 2 days, but nowdays with the same daily-usage, the battery goes under ~5% in less than 24 hours. I have to mention that the phone hasn't any virus, i haven't installed any application on it, I've just made some software-updates.
I'd like to receive some answers from the experienced fellows about this issue.
ps: Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Romania.

settings> connectivity>destination>network destinations choose options>default connection "put as always ask"
2ndly ....at the (again).... network destinations
u'll see folders :
access point, internet, multimedia msg, uncategorised, and so on ...
open each folder and go all the access point which shows your service provider name and click..then scroll down to "prompt password" and change to "yes" (key in the password if you want to)
after u done all this test your phone by going a place where it have wifi connections...
then start browsing the net..
now your phone will ask you: select connection between
1. search for wlan
2.the wifi conenction available
3.your service provider access point
so choose the wifi connection..
NOW IF you choose your service provider access point, it will ask u for the password.
IF your phone ask u for the password it mean your phone wont simply connect to the net using the service provider dataline... so u'll not be charged by your telco if u use the internet.
IT also means u have followed the above procedure correctly
there is a search "tap" on my homescreen.... how do i remove it?
