Probly got yourself a defected device or worse a Chinese rip off....

Original 5800 device's work great and the amount of interest on this phone shows it!

this phone is a disaster!!! so slow, always memory full, unresponsive ui, memory card always corrupted, bad camera features and interface, boring ui, bad headset, weak battery performance, very bad bad phone!!! i made a mistake buying this phone!!! i will go to greenhills next week after my salary to swap to either x10 mini pro or ipod touch. Just using this phone for web browsing via wifi....and a useless sim nothing anymore

When will this phone getting old? After 2 years it's till attractive as latest! I can safely say nobody can offer you all and every features of old 5800 in their products even in the year 2010. Version 50 is amazing. I don't want fancy novelty phone with divx palyer, limited phone book but Nokia 5800 0r E71. My little hope that the Nokia will take a step for 5800 default soundwave theme compatibility with new transparent contact bar type homescreen (as 5230, 5530 etc) and to realign the Music Player widget rewind button which cover and ruin the album art.

There used to be a difference, when Nokia came out with the original 5800, the Navigation was a trial application that you need to pay for the license. But they gave it free later on. At the time, they provided 5800 Navigation edition, they included the lifetime license with that...

Depends on your luck. Mine was almost nine months now, drop it several times, one at more than two meters height but nothing happens to it, not even a scratch.
