Very poor camera quality.
The radio application hangs very often when shuffling between stations. The only way to recover is to reboot the phone.

Infrared port missing. It is a small inconvenience to down load data from existing phone sets having only infrared connectivity.

how can i update my phone to latest firmware?i only updated my phone to ver.31 last april up to now theres no update available to my phone..but i wanted the latest version 51 anyone can help me out here guy's?thanks!!!

Anonymous, 15 Jun 2010there is only 1 inbuilt theme in nokia 5800. Camera 3.2 mp quality is not at all good at night... moregoto mobile9.com website, and search for 5800 xm themes. you will get them as much as u fill your phone memory.
also in zedge.com website.

this phone is all up to shit..4rm day 1 ive been havin prblms with it,da fne freezes all da time,screen goes funny colours an switches off.batt dies within a day..screen does nt show da tym,have to press menu button to view tym..most time the wen pressin menu button it gives you blanks...nt a very wise make 4rm nokia..

Anonymous, 13 Jun 2010how do you know if it is chinese or original nokia 5800??regardless if it this made in china or not. due to labor expenses, foreign companies produce devices, appliances, etc..in a country like china who has man power or human resources that demand cheaper cost. you'll know if ur phone for example is fake when u see that this phone has dual sim whereas the original does not have. hope this helps.
P.S try to find out the original details first of the product and compare it with what you will see out in the market.

This is the most robust phone i have used.It fell from a height of around 9 feet and still it is working fine

Another user has replied to you about this phone.. n i agreed fully with him...anyway if u wish to go X6 get at least the 16GB cos X6 dont have card slots. Cos with the video, picture, songs, apps, documents etc... memory drains fast nowadays..
i stand by two 8gb and one 4gb card for my xm5800

new gen.., 14 Jun 2010nokia 5800xm is too old now..it was out in 2008 November..
i think new buyers now should avoi... moreyup the xm5800 is old now but its hard to get another model with the same features at its price.
yes new phone got new& extra feature,faster better looking but its comes with a new price tag too...
well, new user should find latest model but this phone is a legend. people will still be looking at it and get itchy to buy it.
i bet for all us who is the current owner who take good care of this phone it certainly ROCKS OUR LIFE !!!

music & loudspeaker not good? hope u done dropped the phone very2 hard or soaked in the water

Anonymous, 15 Jun 2010Rotator sometimes does not work when u rotate the phone and battery life max 2 days, not satisfied.battery duration depends on your usage...only on the apps when necessary otherwise your will need a car battery
